Themed Coasters for Six Flags

That park looks great.

Somebody said at some point that if they built something like that in florida, it could rival IOA and WDW. I certainly agree.

The theme is looking very cool for this park, and it seems to have a great selection as well!

Heck, the whole Southwest Territory(SFGAm) is pretty well themed for a Six Flags park. As soon as you enter you are sucked in to the whole Western/Spanish theme. All of the rides in this area are well themed.

Mr. Freeze at SFoT is themed pretty well. The outside of the building is awesome, and the temperature drop going inside really adds to it.

Batman's theming is actually very well done

The problem is that it takes very little to maintain since it's supposed to look run-down and vandalized. I guess that was smart planning by the SF team. Either way, there's a lot of stuff to look at while in line and on the ride, and it all fits together.

Viper at SFoG used to look great when it first opened. It had a stream running between the queue and exit walkways, with misters, bayou sound effects, and shacks on stilts. It was actually well done, even though it was still another theme that didn't require much maintainence. Unfortunately, the theming didn't receive the unecesary upkeep, and it was in horrible condition last year.

SFWoA's rustic theme is pretty nice. Also Villain's station is extemely awesome. Nice work on themeing that.

Well, if you want to see what looks like it will easily be the best themed SF park, go here:

http://www.warnerbrospark.com/ingles/index.html

Which proves, when SF really wants to, they can theme as good as Busch or just about anybody else.

Check out the animated B&M invert Batman: The Pursuit(lame name!). Kinda cool how the little hanging car navigates the twisted drop and first loop.

Does anyone else think it's pretty funny how like on almost every page of ride pics there's one totally out of place? I think that's SFMM's Colossus in with the B&M Floorless, Titain or Golaith with the Inverted, I don't know what that is with the S&S shot tower (Top Spin maybe?), and I'm not sure what's in the pictures with their splashdown boat - looks like it might be a Mack mine train ride or something? And this is the best part - if you go to the Warner Bros Studios part of the map, you'll find that the only link that is broken is for thier Deja Vu ride!!! LOL!!! Element of foreshadowing here? =) "We'll never get the ride to work, so why should the link?"

The park does look nice, though, although the site could certainly use some polish!

From what i have seen from photos, and what people have said, WBMW in Spain, which is owned and run by six flags, has amazing themeing.

Superman....any of the fifty of them ;)

...perhaps our European friends can enlighten us further, but it's been my impression that, other than the beach-side amusement parks, are generally more heavily-themed. I *think* (at least once a day) that if SF was going to compete, they realized that it's a different market with different expectations than you'd find here in the states.

bill, sounding like a world traveler, having been only to the Bahamas and Mexico....LOL.

WDMW in Australia is extremely well-themed, but I don't consider it to be a SF park. Yeah, they're both owned by the same parent company, but honestly, what doesn't AOL own? :)

Besides, Lamborghini and Volkswagen are under the same umbrella. So are Chrysler and Mercedes. Yet, I wouldn't dare compare either of those with each other.

I don't know about theming (I am not that big on it anyway) but Iron Wolf at SFGAM has some of the prettiest landscaping I have ever seen.

Does CCI know how to make a bad coaster?

The best of the Batman themings definentaly goes to the makeover at Six Flags Magic Mountain, but it is hard to contradict with all those weeds on Batwing(tough call ;) ) The Riddler and Goliath had more theming and lndscaping worked into them than all Six Flags had done before, Riddler has one of the best stations as well. Superman:Ride of Steel@SFNE was kinda lame on the theming. Well said by SFNE Freak, you enter a cardboard box and find some rails at the exit. The best theming I have seen on a Six Flags coaster would have to be Mr.Freeze at Six Flags over Texas, and landscaping and natural theme easily goes to MEdusa@Six Flags Mexico. CCI's incorperation with nature(from the natural tunnel of trees to the rides course through the hills.)

I liked Mr. Freeze at Over Texas, Jokers revenge is (was) alright.. not spectacular. Most Batman themes are good.

There is a Batman: Knight Flight in Madrid too.. but it's a simulator.

Personally, I thought Titan was well themed for a "texas countryside" feel.

Texas Coasters... wow I'm lucky... IM me if you feel like talking about coasters.

I am wondering about the goliath pic on the B:P page for Movie world though...

Themeing to a certan extent is really nice, but in my opinion, landscaping grabs my attention more.

I think a lot of enthusiasts rag on SFMM's theming when it actually is really impressive for SF or most other parks. Sure, the themes of the rides do not coincide with their location(Superman in Sumarai hill) but still the individual theming for the rides are pretty comprehensive. Goliath has the great jungle theme and misters, Superman has the cool crystaline cave and of course the Batman city theme. The theming for each ride sets SFMM apart from most of the "average" SF parks. And I ain't no "homer", SFNE is my piece.
