Themed Coasters for Six Flags

What do you think in your opionion was the best themed coaster for any Six Flags park, my guess has to be probably S:UF.

BTR @SFGA nothing beats the original. SF theme's are lame to me in most cases.

Six Flags has themes? Theres not even an music at some parks.

Some of the coasters @ Great America have great theming. Viper has the excellent Southwest/Mine theme thing going on. Batman of course has some of the best theming I have seen until going to IOA. Demon once had great theming and now has so so theming. And of course there is the great parking lot theme on Shockwave.

Well, even though I havent been there; judging by pictures Superman: The Escape has good theming.

How can S:UF have the best theming? It hasn't opened yet, so how can you even guess?

I'm with Iggy on this one. B:TR has awesome theming. 10 years after it opened, I still enjoy reading everything that is 'graphitied' everywhere.

I'm sure at one time Demon was up there on the level of B:TR, but it sure isn't anymore.

Less than 2 months until SFGAm opens!

I thought Viper at SFOG had the best theming I'd seen for a Six Flags ride in a long time! SFGA's Viper was good too. Let's see...what else. Roadrunner Express at SFFT was really nice. As was Jokers Revenge there. Cool queue. So out of the top 4 'best themed' Six Flags coasters I could think of, 2 of them no longer exist! =) Oh, well. Then there are coasters like SROS which have almost no theming at all (look at SFA), which is just fine by me! =)

I agree that SFGAm's B:TR is pretty good, especially since a freind of mine was responsible for a good deal of it.

I also think that the Viper at SFGAm is great. What a genius move to incorporate uncut grass and weeds into the theming. And it works!

I honestly wasn't too impressed by the "theming" that I saw over the weekend for S:UF. All that's in place other than the ride and station is the entrance sign and some handrails for the line. The ride itself is very impressive looking, but I honestly didn't see any "theming" in place yet. Maybe I missed something...

If X-Flight would have been named Bulldozer or something the theming would be good... There were still cranes and bulldozers around!

I would have to say Skull Mountain but I'm not really sure. I haven't only been to 2 different Six Flags.

I found Goliath's line to be very well landscaped and scenic. And I like how its kinda hidden in the trees out of site from everything.

I think sfgam has good theming on there coasters look at Raging Bull, Batman, Demon, etc. sfgadv's has some good themed coasters like Viper,Chiller,Medusa,skull mountain and B:TR. I don't know what Nitro's theme supposed to be but I like the futuristic setting before you get on line. I think all six flags parks should live up to there Genre name "Theme Park" if they all put a lot of theming in like movie world it would be a better park.

If you're really going for a coaster that was one of the best themed in the chain, it's the Runaway Mine Train at SFOT. In its prime time, the ride had excellent theming. Of course, that was back when Six Flags actually themed their rides.

You gotta love S:RoS' @ SFNE's queue. You get through the little themed room and to your surprise, a huge slab of concrete with handrails in them! It's amazing how SF thinks they can please us New Englanders;).

Villain at SFWoA has pretty descent theming. Althuogh it's not a coaster, Texas Twister's isn't all that bad either. The best ride theming in the chain that I've seen would have to be Batman at SFGAm. I personally could care less about theming unless it's mixed into the actual ride. I just want to know why you guys care so much about it?

Yeah i agree with Villain having a pretty cool theme. But I've only been to one SF park.

Which proves, when SF really wants to, they can theme as good as Busch or just about anybody else.

Check out the animated B&M invert Batman: The Pursuit(lame name!). Kinda cool how the little hanging car navigates the twisted drop and first loop.

From the description of the rides, sounds like alot of the rides, including the coasters, will have special effects along the ride to complement the theming. Check out the boat ride too, way more themed than any similiar ride in the US, with the exception of Escape to Pompei.
