Theme Park Brochures Web Site

Thanks to those who are offering to contrubute items, if the site is brought back I will surely appreciate it. That would save me time on scanning stuff and wating for 10 minutes as PhtoShop freezes after doing a lot of work, just to have it lost because I didn't have a chance to save it yet ;0( I think half my time on the site was doing images a second time due to PhotoShop!!

Zimm... do you still have all the content/scanned broschures & park maps from before saved on your hard-drive, or would you have to re-image everything from scratch again?

I am a huge fan of the site (I cried when it shut down). I used it often. Very often. Only RCDB was more used than that site.

Please Bring it back :).

Oh, Dawg - I actually had all the brochures and maps on my hard drive (as well as a back up CD), so thankfully, no re-scanning !
I would like to say thank you all for replying and giving support to the site. After thinking on it for a few days, I've decided to bring it back!! It will now be known as themeparkbrochures.net (not com since that company bought it). It will look just like the other one, with really no changes. I wouldn't know how to do any major changes anyway since I can't remember much of my web building stuff. I was told that it will take up to three days for it to be running, but its already up! Please tell your coaster buddies about it.

Once again, I really appreciate all the support. I will do my best to keep the site going this time around.

Thanks,

Mike Zimmermann

MLEM4S STILL rules

Zimm,

I had a link to your site on mine, and do miss both your site, as well as Theme Park Timelines, which still 'ghosts' itself at http://timelines.home.insightbb.com/

I would love to see TPB return!

Yay! Now I need to scan some of my current maps and send them along.
I miss your site so much and hope you bring it back. I would check it all the time, and there were maps on there I could not find elsewhere. I would LOVE to see this site back. I used it all the time!
Perhaps you didn't see the above post....

It IS up: www.themeparkbrochures.net

Wow. It was nice seeing the brochure with the debut of Anaconda @ PKD again! Awesome site!
I really really missed this site, Id also like to contribute. I have sooo many brochures I could scan in when I get the time. I could start with some Knoebels ones if youd like, theyre my favorites :-)

**just wondering if you got the email I sent, I listed all of the Knoebels ones I could scan, although I have many others I could when I have the time. -Thanks ** *** Edited 12/21/2005 4:37:47 PM UTC by P18***

P18 - I think I got your e-mail (assuming you were the one who wrote yesterday about Knoebels things). It takes time to scan so send them when you get around to it.

Thanks

Zimm - Did some of the files become lost,? I remember you used to have a Lake Compounce brochure or map from when there were owned by Hershey
Ah ok, sorry I got impatient. Yeah just found out it does take a while just to scan a bruchure lol, i went to the site to find out how the others were scaned so I can do it the same way.
Hey Larry,

Do you remember the year? When were they owned by Hershey (excuse my ignorance here)? Not sure which one you are referring to. I've never removed anything and the site is that same one as before (it was all saved) Sorry :(

Thanks,
Zimm

Yeah, it can take a while to scan just one brochure, maybe up to 20 or so minutes just scanning (I then have to edit them). Some maps may be quicker (just 1 page), but they are often too big for my scanner so I have to do it a few times in parts and fit them together in PhotoShop. Some of the BGT ones were so big that I had to do 6 scans and fit them all together!! What a pain!! :)

Zimm

is there a site were you can pick up old get a way guides from CP?
There's a Hershey/Lake Compounce brochure in there. Look in the alphabetical list of brochures under H as opposed to L.
