Bring back the soundtrack on Legend, but they can loose the bell.
They already loosed the bell once; in fact I was on the train out on the course when it happened: "Bong! Bong! Crash! Thud!"

I could be wrong about this, but I'd imagine putting grease on while the tracks are warm makes the grease considerably "slipperier"...
bill, always on some sort of slippery slope...
P.S. I considered starting a new thread, but this seems like a good place to wish everyone SAFE travel over the next few weeks....many enthusiasts will be logging a lot of time in the air and on the roads, and while we're en route to our destinations, "the roads are more dangerous than the rails" (TM)...

I agree! I definitely prefer a wooden roller coaster with ample amount of graphite lubrication to reduce metal-on-metal squealing and increase speed rather than one without lubrication, like Mean Streak, Rattler, Rolling Thunder, or Psyclone.

Remember...SRM rides can be messy...don't wear your best white shirt.
Very good advice! When we opened The Legend, Santa rode on the first train (with Sam Ulrich)...and his snazzy white tuxedo shirt (complete with "Santa" embroidered on the cuffs) was spattered with grease.
Santa was telling me about all the different means he used to get the shirt clean (a regular Martha Stewart, that Santa) when it suddenly hit me -- a Legend grease-spattered Santa shirt would be an excellent auction item at SRM! Sadly, the end of Santa's story was that he was able to get it clean. Sigh!
See you all soon--drive safely! Paula

Coasters, kitties, beer n buddies - life *is* sweet :)
May stop at SFKK on the way down and maybe IB on the way back. Got to have more time for IB then SFKK as I like it better. Though I have a feeling with HW sandwiched in between (who does not like the filling in an "Oreo" anyway) will be the highlight. Well it should be the highlight no matter what I could sandwich around it. ;)

Speaking of Oreos...we now have deep-fried Oreos at The Funnel Cake Factory located next to the Virginia Reel (tilt-a-whirl). More healthy food to help you enjoy SRM to its fullest!
See you soon! Paula
