Demon Drop was testing yesterday. It appears they are having trouble tuning the new braking/controls system. The cars drop and stop, but don't stop in the right spot in order to automatically advance back down to the station. I believe I saw three cars on the circuit and three sitting on the midway. They had signs at the front of the park and by the ride saying it would not be operating today. I wonder how long those have been up?

But the problems are probably due to the "new" non-Intamin braking system. I'm guessing they are on their own.

Huh? I'm pretty sure the park announced that they ended up not going with a new braking system...

That is correct. There were brief talks of switching to Magnetic brakes. But, that never happened.

I wouldn't be surprised if it has a new braking system that uses the old brakes.
Does that make any sense? :)

Oh wow, hadn't heard they abandoned the magnetic braking idea. Guess they have less excuses now for taking so long.
