Six flags is so cheap. It would make me really mad if they just built the same 'x' all over the country. Where is their imagination? They should take Alton Tower's approach. They took a concept like the flying dutchmen and themed it the way coasters are supossed to be themed. Six falgs doesn't do anything. There idea of theming is techno music blaring while your waiting in line. Where's the creativity in that?
Six Flags is saving money by cloning, yes, and it is a very smart decision on there part. At least 90% of the GP that visit a Six Flags park will not visit another different Six Flags park. Six Flags above everything else markets to local markets, not the 5% that may visit another Six Flags park. Just because we are enthusiasts doesnt mean we have to expect parks like Six Flags to not clone their rides so people around the country can enjoy the latest thrill.

Its kind of like having a chain of stores. They put the same products in every store so a person doesn't have to travel far just to get a certain thing.

To further on that point, people still seem to think that parks have unlimited amounts of money to spend on original designs. Can you imagine the money that would be needed to create an new B&M design for each SF park? Not to mention theming and all the other crap that we spoiled enthusiasts demand from parks? Think about it.

If Six Flags decides to install another 4D coaster, it will most likely wind up in the one Six Flags park without an inverted/suspended looping coaster.
I don't know about that. I mean, SF parks with B&M Inverts have the consumer base to support a large investment like that, while parks with the smaller, and cheaper SLC's are in less populated areas. An Arrow 4D ride is a significant investment for any park, I'd imagine, and I think you'd eventually see one popping up at another of SF's flagship parks, or some other chain entirely, like Universal.

As you can see in this very early construction shot, X is built on a nice sized hill and it would be very hard without some major support changes to clone X.
Hopefully we see some chain like Universal buy a 4D and theme it heavily and maybe even enclose it and have an awesome ride.

Im hoping a park somewhere on the east cost gets a 4D coaster. I mean why wouldent they? it would be a good move for them. If it is going to be on the east cost im saying Maybe SFgadv in 2003 or SFA in 2003 i can really see it going to Sfgadv thou since they have alot of types of rides but nuthing close to X. What im trying to figure out is how come cedarpoint dident get one before SFMM? Usaly between the park labels it would have been the other way around SFMM getting somthing cheaper (doubel twisteing impulse) and Cedarpoint getting the bigger better ride( 4D). I supose it shows that SFMM stands out from the rest of the SF parks, and that SFMM and Cedarpoint dont care about who has the best of the best.
CP doesnt usually build prototypes
