The towers are going up, Meanwhile the lift, drop and loop of Cobra is still there.

It is in the helix area which in case you dont know leaves a lot of room to still add another walkway for an expansion or any other type of attraction or expansion.

But where would that walkway go? That area is pretty much fenced in by SOB and AE.

Supposedly The Edge was being removed and replaced with another climbing wall. Hopefully, PKI will add another path into the action zone to ease the bottleneck that occured by the helix. However, depending how involved the 2003 ride is, they may not be able to do that.

I guess we will all know April 4th.

According to the park, the 2003 attraction will indeed go in the KC location. If the current location is home to a couple of other attractions, that still leaves a lot more room that people realize.

Rideman, The towers are like the lift towers of the skycoaster, A person told me that if Slingshots are over a certain height that they must be put on a foundation and attached unlike the portables.

They had the two towers assembled out in the parking lot last week in what looked like Four 80ft sections, They dissasembled them (Prob because the crane couldn't lift them) and are taking them back in about 40ft sections, The one tower was half up this morning and that was almost as tall as King Cobras Loop and still had the top half to go. Im guessing about 160ft towers which equals ???? what launch height.

Chuck, still not commenting on anything but the ride itself.

Chuck, I was wondering what else people might want you to comment on that you're avoiding? I wouldn't even know what else to ask unless it had something to do with what was going in for 2003.

Cyber Sez is the Ham on Rye virtual reality attaction ($5) being installed at nearly every major park this year. There is no motion with this attraction, it simply has VR goggles.

Oh, I'm actually glad to hear that, because I am guessing the new wall will have an auto-belay system. It's not that there is anything wrong with using human belayers, it's just that in an amusement park situation, any way that you can reduce the chance of catastrophic failure due to operator error it makes good sense to do so.....
