Thanks Paul. Will do. I love that Wendy's! There's nothing like swinging around a second time to get sauce. ;)

I guess rush hour starts at 2 in Chicago

Ohhh yeah man. Morning, noon night...doesn't matter, we still have lousy traffic. Lived here all my life, and I'm convinced that armageddon could be happening right in the loop at two am on a Sunday, and the Dan Ryan inbound would STILL be bumper to bumper. *** Edited 10/15/2005 1:13:32 PM UTC by Kenmei***

Watch out for flying maps!

LOL yeah the perpetual rush hour in Chicago is something I don't miss not living there anymore. I remember coming back from seeing the Cure and getting stopped on the "Damn Ryan" in bumper to bumper traffic at 3am.

^^ Well, that's a "never again" for me regarding flying in, IF I'm going to HW. I'll do Louisville instead, or even St. Louis. I don't mind some driving, but not that much. It tore apart 2 entire days. :/

From the Louisville airport it takes just 1:10 where it takes 3 from St. Louis. Heck you'd be better off flying into Nashville than Chicago with it just being 2.5 hours away.

LOL Oooh Paul, I totally Identify. Where in Chicago did you live?

And I totally agree with that. Nashville would probably be way easier for you. Anything coming in this way sucks, not to mention the delays in the airports here.

Maybe I can relocate to Vegas. -_- SO not looking forward to winter here.

Watch out for flying maps!

I have lived in Romeoville, Darien, Downers Grove, Lisle, Wheaton and Sleepy Hollow thankfully never anywhere in the city.

Paul, you traded Sleepy Hollow for Santa Claus? Not a bad idea considering you still get to have "the legend" in the process!

I survived a Japanese typhoon and the Togo flat ride of death!!!!!!
LOL Thrillerman! I never thought of it that way.

Ugh, Paul, I have nothing but sympathy for ya man. =) We're in Palatine, right off 53 and next to Scumburg...er...Schaumburg. I used to live in Berwyn and travel to the burbs for work every day. Come to think of it, that was the year I had my SF Gam season passes. That was a fun drive three times a week.

I have SO got to get out to HW next year. Never been there and your website keeps making me want to go so, so badly. Maybe I can con the hubby into going next summer.

Great TR =)

Watch out for flying maps!

Yo Kenmei;

I know Palatine very well as I used to cruise record (the vinyl kind) shops around there when I worked at the Barrington 6 theatres back in college. IMHO the whole Schamburg area is a place to be avoided.

About coming on down it's just a 6.5 hour drive from your area that is the way I drive. If you're coming on down let me know and we'll grab a few rides together.

Have Fun

Damn, I miss the Barrington 6 cinema...No more "buck" theaters around anymore. :(

(I live in Dundee...)

LMFAO no freakin way. Man I grew UP five minutes from those theatres! My now husband used to me the assistant manager of the Gamer's Paradise there! Too funny. =) I'll have to let ya know when we make it out there. I'm hoping for next summer.

I think there are still some budget theatres in Wheeling, redman...but thats a bit of a haul from Dundee.

Watch out for flying maps!

Sh*t if I was to drive to Wheeling for a buck theater, I'd end up spending the same amount as going to a regular theater because of gas prices! ;)

Ya know where Haeger Pottery is in Dundee? I am 1.2 miles due south...

Damn, I see all these towns from my past. My wife is from Wheeling, I grew up in Woodridge (Downers Grove, Lisle, Naperville area from Paul's post). Just one big happy Illinois-ian family.

...But now I make my home about 7 miles southwest of the park.

I used to live in Hoffman Estates back in the late 60's to mid 70's. That area now is like light-years away from back then. It just blows my mind every May when we make the trip back there.
