For me, the *fab four* are Raven, Legend, Cornball and PHOENIX.
amen! well put...it's hard to beat any of these coasters! if i had to place them in order it would be
1. raven
2. phoenix
3. cornball
4. legend
but ya know what coaster is real close to cracking this top 4 list is the jack rabbit @ kennywood. the double down on that coaster absolutely floors me every single time i ride it...especially in the back seat....with a leather strap...lol

Put me in the "The Legend does everything Raven does and more!" camp. Raven is a fine ride and "The Drop" is excellent. The one "flaw" (if you can call it that) Raven has IMO is not it's length, but it's that the ride near the front of the train is not near as good as in the back. "The Drop" is hardly felt in the first cars (though it is mad frightening in the back cars). The Legend, OTOH, is a heart-pounding experience from front to back. And that so-called "piledriver" hill is almost enough to make one scream for mercy. The Legend so far still has the distinction of being the only coaster that I got off and said "WTF?!?" Raven though, still holds on to a spot in my top four (well really top five).
1. The Legend
2 (tie). Lightning Racer (Lighting)
2 (tie). Lightning Racer (Thunder)
4. Son of Beast
5. Raven
lata, jeremy
--who notes that "Hercules" sits at #6.....
My Fab Four:
1. Raven
2. Cornball Express
3. Legend
4. Boulderdash
Frankly those four, along with #5 Phoenix, are in a virtual tie for my favorite wood. My reason for placing Raven at #1 this year was due to its vast improvement from 2001 after the off season track work. New this year on Raven was a smoother first drop and lake turn and new [or a return of the] air on drop 4.
Moosh - glad to finally be back online, can't wait to hijack his next thread....

Is there any other way to do it?
Chuck, who gets ideas of where to go and what to ride from others but lets the ride speak for itself :)

Charles Nungester.
Is it about coasters or friends? I say both!
SO true, Chuck...If it weren't for the *suggestions* of others on this board and my *other* site, I wouldn't know where to try and start planning vacations...
bill, saying THANKS again for leading us to the Screechin' Eagle...I dared to fly!
What about Cyclops? That drop in the last seat is mythical there is no otherway to describe it.
Even so, Raven is orgasmic. Not a flaw.

My number one(s), Raven, Legend, Cornball, Timbers,Phoenix and Twister.
It like choosing between kids I can't do it, I love them all.
Raven is out of control and "The Drop" is totally off the hook.
lLegend is the ultimate terrain coaster, you have no idea whats happening next, and I haven't rode it with PTC's yet.
Cornball is so impressive for being so small and it has some of the greatest head chopppers ever.
Timbers has such amazing air with the awesome double helix finale.
Phoenix is non stop never let up ejector air, the double up double down combo is too amazing for words.
Twister is relentless, when you get as many lats as you do out of the station on twister, you know you have an amzing ride. The lateral air into the helix is bar none my favorite single moment on a coaster.
So whats your favorite flavor?
All these coaster have one thing in commone, they are nonstop, no dull moments at all, especially Twister which may be my favorite child so to speak LOL. I just can't bring myself to say it.
