The forgotten B&M Stand-up coaster

Parque del Cuidaid, a park in Argentina, that went bankrupt for some years ago and has been followed by scandals, containers that had been there since 1991 were found. This is what they found in the containers.

The park never paid B&M and doesn't have the money to put it up so the parts are going back to B&M or somewhere else. But, acording to roomraider Paramount has bought some huge shares of the park and they'll make it to a Paramount park with 4 new coasters, one of them an Inverted from B&M and 7 of 9 coaster allready built in the park will stay. So maybe the parts will stay but they could also be sold to another park.

A pretty intresting story about this forgotten coaster that never got built...

WOW, that is really wierd, although I wouldn't want the 1991 B&M Standup, but its never been built, so it might be as smooth as any one of the new standups, too bad its being shipped back to B&M.

Im the #1 Canobie Lake Park Fan!!!These are my top 3 coasters:
1. S:RoS @ SFNE 2. Yankee Cannonball 3. Cyclone

Cannobie could really use that Stand up if it's gonna' be cheap.

Or since a station was never built, it could endup a floorless or sitdown looper.

I don't buy that story at all. If you look closely in the backround, the pinch tires on that track are the same as ones used on B&M Inverters. Additionally, the color in the backround looks funny. I think someone is having a little fun with a doctored photo... It's a picture of B&M inverted track that's been color altered to look orange.

It's a fake story.

1) All B&M stand-up coasters use vertical drive tires.

2) It has the curved ties that all inverted designs contain.

3) The first B&M to have painted rails was Riddler's Revenge

Even though I can't speak Spanish I can tell that was a joke. All the smilies are crying in the first post. The guy figures out its a fake and has the laughing smilies. The webmaster guy then comes back with laughing smilies also.

Here is what the translated page says:

This is very sad...

The last week they have opened in the Park of the City, containers that arrived at the park in 1991, in one of them is an coaster Stand Up de B & M,

this coaster will not be armed, since it was never paid by the ex- " Interama Park " (old owners of the Park)
and segun said to me, the coaster goes away of the Pais the next week.

This photo gave me to it an employee of the Park, since when I went yesterday to the park, I was not with the camera

then the picture is here

also, by but that the coaster has been paid not it could arm because the Park does not have money available for that.
to if that nothing, I am going to do already of account that never I saw and.

The next posts says:

She is putada to have a hunting, in addition one to B & M, in a park and not to arm it.

To where this coaster will go? To Mythical Terra?

the last post says:

pos the truth not, but if they give me to choose, I prefer that site near you goes away to algun, pa that at least it my coasteros friends can enjoy

if you ask me, the colours look kinda like the crazy flying coaster, the floorless coaster at jafusun fancyworld in taiwan:

http://www.coasterclub.org/en/photos/jan-floorless/index.shtml

It isn't the Jafusun floorless. The ties on that are flat, where in the 'stand-up' track pic, it has curved ties, not to mention the ties are the same color as the spine.

That just doesn't add up. We could all pull off something like that with Photoshop. I'd like to see another pic.

Zero-G and some of you are right, it's a fake. I should have done some research before i post it but well at least i have learnt something i allready knew. Don't belive everything you read on internet :) .

The track is in fact AIR track. The original pic is from a AIR fan site that followed the construction. http://www.prepare4air.co.uk/Photos/Construction/Large/sept22.jpg The pic got mirrored and the joker changed the colour.

Sorry that i posted this before any research...

Might want to go to edit on your original post and check 'delete topic' ;)

"7 of 9 coaster?" Is Paramount FINALLY making a star trek ride? If they're doing it after 7 of 9, then it's probably just 2 bunny hills. ;)

Quoth the Jaguar...."Check"

It is true about the park's rocky past and they still have an Intamin twin tracked roller coaster partly built in 1983 which never opened from what I've heard. The park also has 4 Schwartzkopf coasters and two other Intamin kiddie coasters all built in the late 70s and early 80s. Anyone know any other reasons they've not built any coasters since?
