The flash movie

Please make the sound off by default...it's so annoying to have the website all of a sudden start blasting music. Music/sounds that play on websites without intervention from me is one of my biggest web peeves. It's a neat little movie, just turn the sound off.

Since I visit the main page several times during a visit (via back/forward on the browser), the music becomes a bit "cumbersome".

Why don't you just turn down the Volume?

It is a *little* annoying, but I ussally just click the forum link before it starts so I don't hear that much of it. But I can live with it.:)

Personally, I think its cool. I think it helps the site be something more then just the run of the mill static site. Plus its not over intrusive either. I say keep it as is

I agree with the subject of this post. Jeff I love your site to death but the music is wicked bad.

Why don't I turn the volume down? Because I'm listening to mp3s or some other such thing most of the time I'm on the computer and would like to have my volume up so I can do that.

The one right now is annoying, but I do hope the flash movie changes every month or so. Just so we dont have the same one all the time.

I could do without the music as well. It is clear that Jeff and I do not have the same taste in music but that really isn't the issue. I am generally opposed to music on websites unless I choose to play it. the automatic music is a bit intrusive. Sure, it's a neat feature, I'm impressed, now make it go away :)

Ask and you shall receive. I was growing tired of it as well, and it's irritating if you use it as your home page with links to your favorite sites.
