The first day open, Dejavu Valleys at SFOG 3/23

RD- Sure the valleying is a problem but there is a very slim chance someone will be harmed if the ride valleys. From what I have experienced the worst for some people is the rocking back and forth, like a swinging ship, until the train settles (but this is on other rides, I have not witnessed a GIB valley.) Especially with catwalks and all of the experience the operations crews are getting with evacuations, the biggest inconvenience is that the ride is down for awhile.

At SFEG, TFC is coming! ;)

Uh, this wasn't the bad type of valley. It was the type that it normally does if any sensors are slight off or sense anything almost wrong. They easily fixed it within hours since it was lowered to the bottom of the lift by the pully. This wasn't a normal valley like SFMM has, it was the almost everyday SFoG version of the valley.
I dont know if its possible or even worth it but in my opinion the best way to eliminate the valleying is to remove the loop. I know some of you will say thats crazy but its seems like a good idea to keep the ride and not have to worry about adding LIM's. That loop slows down the momentum of the train significantly.

So Titanic has made more money than any other movie, but it's far from the best.

I would beg to differ, Den. Remember, everyone has there own taste and opinions. To some, its the greatest. To others the worst. And to most, somewhere in between.

I've traded in my 2000 Giovanola for a 2002 Arrow X4D :)
My other car is now an Arrow X4D!

So as you can see Vekoma is still the leading manufacturer

If you look at it strictly as quantity over quality, sure. But if you start looking at how many they place in the Top 10 in polls, for instance, it's a different story.

Don't get me wrong, they certainly have their place. Without Vekoma, we wouldn't have all those coasters, and that IS a good thing. But when given a choice of a Vekoma or, say, a B&M, I'm probably going to pick the B&M every time.

I will be visiting SFOG this Saturday. I know this sounds odd, but it would be cool if it valleyed while I was on it... A nice story to tell...

Planned Parks for this summer: SFoGa, CP, SFWoA, SFGAm, SFKK, PKI, MA, SFStL, HW, KW. Is 10 enough?
Cornerstone Festival 2002... I will be there

Couldn't they add drive tires in the valley like what is used in stations to advance a train? I don't think it would work if you tried to use them as boosters but they could be used after the train vallies.

I'll say it again:

I made the Vekoma comment based on what Chris Godsey said about them sinking lower and lower in the industry. Not once did I mention ride quality itself, and if you're stuck on that you're missing the point.
