I'm leaving for Cedar Point next Friday and I do want to ride their flat rides a long with the coasters. The question I have is what are some of the best flat rides a the park? I haven't been there since 1996 and I never rode their flat rides, just the coasters. So any of you fellow coaster nuts, like me, know of any good flat rides there?
Well, the only new flat ride outside of Camp Snoopy that they've added was Chaos in '97 I think. Other than that, their collection of flat rides is, well, kind of flat. Nothing you haven't already been on.
The don't miss items are Giant Wheel, Cedar Downs, Chaos and perhaps Calypso.

Well I like alot of them, but the best one i think is Chaos. It is fun, but you need to have a partner willing to shake the car or else it's not as fun.
The Tilt-A-Whirl in Camp Snoopy. And Cedar Downs is really neat,I had never seen one of these. ------------- "Let's Take This One For A Ride !" -DC Talk,'Luv Is A Verb'
Definitely do Cedar Downs and Chaos. I would have to say to do the Space Spiral, too, because the views of both the park and Lake Erie are awesome. Matterhorn is a good one too, because the bars on it don't lock down.
Chaos blows at CP!!! The only reason: you are up there for like less than a minute. At Michigan's Adventure, they spin you forever on their Chaos. Yes, there Chaos is identical to CP's, only you spin for like probably at least double the time at CP.
Two reason's you should ride Cedar Downs. 1) It's a great ride. Fun, fast, and you are racing your friends. 2) It's a "collector's item". It was purchased from Euclid Beach Park. It's ancient history, which in this business is refreshing in it's own way.
Chaos, The Matterhorn are the others to ride. Ocean Motion is relaxing, too.
I always seem to lose on Cedar Downs. Never won against anyone...hehe.. Chaos is a pretty cool ride. Yes, it doesn't last very long. Probably because people get sick. Other than that, I still like it.
Cedar Point's flat ride collection is a little sub-par. The only real standout in my mind is Cedar Downs. Everything else can be found at other parks. What they really need next year are a few new flat rides. My choices would be:
1) Huss Frisbee - if you never ridden one of these things, you're missing a lot. Basically it's a swinging ship with a centrifuge attached in place of the boat. Interesting ride action, especially at the end.
2) Chance Wipeout - A Trabant/Casino/Schwabinchen on steroids. Go ride Knott's version and you'll see why. :)
3) Huss Top Spin - personally, I don't like this thing, but it would work well in Sandusky.
