What is everyone's thought of this great coaster..? Do you think that SOB has done its father justice.? or should it be bigger etc..
Besides the bad Premier trains, I think they did a great job. Of course my opinion is in the minority here, but I'm a fan of SOB. Of course The Beast is terriffic, and misses my top ten by one because of excessive breaking.
Well, I absolutely love The Beast. best coaster evr, IMO. Screw MF, gimme The Beast. :P As for SoB, I absolutely love it, and that is not a minority opinion there. However I don't consider it as good as it's father, but it's my second fav coaster, nonetheless.
good reply everdred i totaly agree with you sob and big daddy are both on my top 10 in the 1 and 2 spots!

WOOD RULES!
I love both of these rides, but I do like the Beast better than Son Of Beast. Son of Beast is a great ride but in my opinion it is not as good as the Beast.

MILLENNIUM FORCE RULES!
Your probobly right but its 2 elements that cant be compared steel and wood.

WOOD RULES!
The Beast outdoes it's son totally. It's amazing how the Son of Beast can be so much taller and faster than it's "daddy," yet be less intense. It shows how height really doesn't matter in determining a great ride. The final helix through the Beast is a roller coaster masterpiece, perhaps the greatest element on a modern coaster. It left me with an adrenaline rush that even beat Millennium Force's rush.
While SOB is a very good and intense ride, I believe the helixes should have been made tighter and lower, so the trains don't lose speed through them. The loop is great, but the ride lacks airtime. It has one hill that looks like a good airtime hill, but it never delivers. While the Beast doesn't have much airtime, it at least has two times where you get out of your seat quite a bit.
The Beast is trimmed quite a bit, at least it has the old-fashioned skid brakes that aren't as noticeable when they brake the trains as the newer squeeze brakes most modern coasters have. The brakes on the Beast really don't bother me too much, because the whole ride is still fast.
I still like SOB. I'd probably put it as my #4 woodie behind the Beast, Villain, and Thunderbolt.
SOB is one of favorite coasters, much more intense than I had anticipated. It's a challenging coaster. The Beast is one of the best ever. I hate to compare the two, but the way I see it, The Beast is great because it's a cool ride (as people above have already described) with some real class, and SOB is just as cool in its own way, as the insane punk-ass bully offspring that delivers thrills through brute force.
