The appeal of Disney parks

Haiku about pancake fires?

Smoke gets in your eyes.
The smell of burning syrup
is not appealing.

Pancakes are better
than my ability to
write a haiku that conforms to the rules of each line containing the correct number of syllables

To write a haiku
All you need is the correct
Number of syllab--

Walking past Austrailia's little kiosk at the food and wine thing, I almost got sick, whatever they were cooking smelled like crap (kangaroo?) I couldn't stick around long enough to find out.

You're right, passive racism totally justifies not wanting to try new things

I didn't know Austrailian was a race, or maybe you're talking about kangaroos as a protected class.?

I think he just meant
He himself couldn't be arsed;
Needs a bran muffin

You need to imagine it conforms to Haiku sylabatic standards.

Fair. So, stereotyping based on nationality is less bad because it's called something different? Or is avoiding the point cancel it out?

Now which one of you is going to come clean my monitor? ;)

How is it stereotyping?

Bill. His response was far funnier than my haiku.

Was your point really that he has something against Australians because he thought what they were cooking smelled bad?

So to summarize.

Logistics are top notch they get you and your stuff there from the airport, and it's nice not having to lug your baggage all over the place, on the back end, althought checkout is at 11, they have the ability store your carry on so you're last day isn't a wash if you have a late flight out.

Food I thought was hit or miss. Via Napoli was good, although it was just wood fire pizza a few pasta dishes and chicken parm, dessert zeppolis were awesome. I enjoyed Biergarten but probably because I was half twisted from drinking biers while waiting for our table to be ready.. the other 2 places we ate were mediocre and both had similar barbecue fare. The counter service places were all similar and nondescript.. dried out burger, frozen pizza warmed in a tunnel oven, etc..

Ammenities were fine, we were there in November so I mainly used the hot tub, and rented some boats. Took the boy fishing for a half hour one morning but nothing was biting. Rooms were well appointed and had good beds and pillows.

Parks were just not that great. They are OK, I think people blow way out of proportion how good they are. Aesthetically, everything is top notch, even Hollywood quality, but most of that stuff is wrapped around a very mediocre attraction/ride.

Maybe if your kids are younger and bought into it more, but when they are that young you have to drag strollers and all kinds of gear all over, making it more of a huge production and not much of a vacation for the parent.

I'm placing my fingers in my ears. Lalalalalalalala.

Congrats on making Amilwhatever status.

Seems I read somewhere that the definition of insanity is repeating the same thing/action over and over again and expecting a different outcome...or something to that effect.

The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

YMMV.

Except that, here, it doesn't vary at all!

Yours does from mine. Which is what is being illustrated over and over in 20 pages of this thread.
