But in Vater's case had his post just said "Speaks for itself, eh?" how would we have known which post he was referring to? He wisely quoted ONLY the portion of Nitro2KI's post that was pertinent. IIRC Jeff is OK with that practice.

It could be that they are trying to say "The coaster called Batman.", but they shorten it to "The Batman".
Go volunteer for a charity or something. Try to make the world a better place. Quit complaining about people you perceive to be below you.
DISCLAIMER- I do not put "The" in front of coaster names, but I don't cringe or correct people when I hear it either.
People here in central PA say some pretty silly sounding things too. They say creek as "krik" with a short e sound. They call a sub sandwich a "Hogie". they yell, "Squal de tars", anytime someone is pulling out of the driveway. I do not say these things, but I am not better than those that do.
Mullets are a different story though.

Correct grammar is not important, however looks are.
Nice.
Now I'm off to eat a hoagie by the crick. Then I'll squal mah tars on the way down to Picksburgh to see the Stillers play with yinz...
...but I'm not taking my buddy with the mullet - he's embarassing.
Just carrying on a stereotype. :)
My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.
I put the mullet thing in there to show that I have a sense of humor on the issue. I'm not super serious about a lot of things, contrary to what it may appear.
I forgot about "yinz". That's another funny thing people around here say.
Why do some of my posts make some people so uncomfortable?
I just believe exactly the opposite. Whatever stupid shape is on your head is meaningless, the words coming out of your mouth represent your thoughts and the quality of those thoughts. Somehow one seems vastly more important to me and it's not hairstyle.
Yes, Chitown - in western PA hillbilly is quite prominent. The best part is that people around here make "west virginia" jokes.
Sweet, sweet irony, I delight in your warm secure glow.
