haha, and the poem wasn't even mine!

Talk about an expression of ideas! hehehe

Speeking of things on top of old smokey...will their be a smoke machine or anything on any parts of the ride? (This might belong in a different post, but.. ;) )

Tell me what you think would be ideal on the ride. I wish they would put a smoke machine in the tunnels and lights would be really cool, but since Magnum's tunnels can't live up to it, I doubt CP can do a smoke machine, much else anything different.

I don't know anything about the math of Cedar Point or whatever but I don't think the line will quite get to be 4 hours long. 3 most definately but not 4. I haven't waited 3 hours since Snake River Falls opened (That was the stupidest thing I've ever done....must've been hot that day) and I almost always go to the park in August or so. I also know a lot of people won't be getting on this ride because that won't be able to take the drop, the "wide-openess" (yeah, that is a word) of the cars, the banks, etc. Keep in mind, not everyone is as excited about this thing as we are. :)
I've never been to Cedar Point before but from what I heard is that the lines tend to move fast because the operators are excellent. So I think the longest the line will get is probably 2 1/2 hours. Also the fact that Cedar Point has the most rides in the world will make the line shorter.

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight?
Keep in mind about waiting times for coasters. From what I have seen its all about the hype of a coaster. Take in point Batman the Ride at Six Flags Great America. It was the first inverted looping coaster in the world and when it opened back in 1992, waiting 2 to 3 hours was very common (even on slow days). Today anytime you visit the park you will almost always see a long line for this ride. The reason being is everybody knows it was the worlds first inverted so they want to experience it. In the last 8 years of its existence it never lost its popularity so I am assuming by what I mentioned about it that is why long lines continue on it.

Ugh... it's still about the math and total capacity. No one can make an example of when ride X opened at park Y because there are no parks like Cedar Point. No park has ever opened its 14th roller coaster anywhere.

There will not be a wait longer than two hours, barring weather and mechanical problems.
