Texas Tornado to Ohio

I have no way of verifying any of this, but I read a rumor a few days ago that Swartzkopf's Texas Tornado was being disassembled and was possible en route to SFWoA...

Anyone spy any de-construction in Texas?

Talk to the claw...

I would love the Texas Tornado to go to SFWoA, as it's within driving distance, but according to screamscape.com its's going to Six Flags Marine World. Where did you read that it is going to SFWoA? I haven't come across that rumor yet.

It was on the ZeroGNetwork Forums, which had a server crash a few days ago, and lost a good chunk of postings, including the rumor about the Tornado...

Considering the storms that blasted through neighboring Twinsburg last week, it would be an appropriate addition...

Well, if it does go to Ohio I'll be there to ride it. I love the Alton coasters. Plus a little bit further away at SFKK they're possibly getting a Alton shuttle loop. Ohh, I'm looking forward to next year again.
Yes it's being dismantled... Panther Modern is the man to talk to.
It would be cool if it did goto SFWOA
looks like fun to ride

It should go to SFDL. My upcoming recreation is so boring with only five coasters in it. I was thinking of doing a future addition recreation of SFDL but its pointless because it would be exactly the same as it is now! We are never gonna get anynew rides!

As the coasters get bigger so do the queue lines

Plus the fact that your recreation featured like 4 Enterprises, Ride of Steel!! ;) Last time I checked... SFDL only had 1, unless they got a few SBNO ones from other parks! :)

Wow, I hope Ohio gets this thing, its a great coaster by the looks of it, Anton had his way of creating masterpieces and this IS his best in my opinion.

But still it would be better off coming to New Zealand where its needed just that little bit more. :)

-----------------

I wouldn't be surprised if it did go to New Zealand, or anywhere else out of the U.S. What with it's reputation and the current trend of political debate over the limitation of G-forces, it might never find a happy home in the U.S. unless Six Flags seriously tames it down.

If they don't want to sell it, maybe it'll show up at a European SF park? But, more likely it'll sit in a parking lot somewhere rusting until SF can find someone else to buy it. Heck, if i were rich, I'd buy it myself! Maybe we should petition Michael Jackson to add it to his amusement park, and open it up once a year to enthusiasts! =P

I just hope it goes somewhere.

That is the only coaster I know of that has a head chopper at the top of a loop. Very freaky to see a support heading right for you when normally there's nothing at that point of a loop.

this coaster breaks your neck?
I would be glad to see the Tornado reappear at SFMW, my "home park" (although 2.5 hour drive away), if the Screamscape rumor is correct. The name would have to be changed, though--maybe back to "Thriller"
Maybe the name will be something similar like the California Twister or something...bon voyage Texas Tornado *sniffs* My homepark won't be the same without you...not to mention there will be that awkward empty space in the Mexicana area.

Yes, this coaster regularly breaks peoples necks and still operated normally for a quite a long time.

I'd be happy to see Thriller (might as well revert to the original name again...) show up at any park, but I'd definitely prefer an American park, and SFWoA would just be icing on the cake...

I've been putting off a visit to Texas for a couple of years now because of Thriller's non-operational status mainly because it's my #1 want to ride steelie in the country.

If it showed up at SFWoA I'd have to actually get a fresh season pass again next year...*crossing fingers*

It's welcomed as long as Double Loop remains where it is.

Just as long as this coaster doesn't go to a scrap yard, I will be happy.

Can you say SFMM's secret record-breaking weapon?

Playing it all too well, I'm afraid, Playa. That "rumor" actually makes more sense than moving it to SFWoA, where I would much prefer to see the rumored hyper.
