If not oh well.. I'm a huge Dirk and tim Duncan fan and both those seasons are wrapping up mid April.

I would have said last year that you had your last chance to see Duncan play. And the year before that. And the one before that. Coach Pop apparently found Ponce De Leon's Fountain of Youth - you can only get to it by spending lots of time on the Spurs bench resting (a few cold ones at Riverwalk might not hurt).

At this point, Irk (no 'D') Nowitzki will probably retire first.

edited for continuity purposes....

P.S. Go Spurs GO!

The spurs look dead in the water. But on the flip side Duncan is playing amazing. So it's hard to say if he will be back. I'd bet Manu is done after this year, but they have re-enforcements coming up. The thing that worries me is his contract is up. That could be the tie breaker that gets him to retire.

Dirk on the other hand has 2 years left. I think he will play that out. His team could go in the tank after this year. 3 starters are FA's. I finally went to see Dirk in Toronto last season but just my luck he was sitting for rest reasons. Seeing him play in Dallas would be a dream.

I went to a couple WrestleManias (X8 at SkyDome and XIX at SafeCo Field). Be aware there are very few "good" seats for wrestling in a venue that big. You can't see anything from floor seats. And if you sit too high in the stadium, the ring & wrestlers look tiny. But I imagine Vince has huge plans for that monstrous screen over the ring!

But then again, what do I know?

Haha yeah I know. My wife was at X8 in Toronto. Wow XIX is IMO the best of the best. I go in and out of liking wwe. But at that point I had young kids and loved it. That Jericho/HBK match is my all time favorite.

Aren't you supposed to like Canadian sports, Derrick? Like Hockey?

Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Haha. Yes I suppose I am. Always been basketball, and baseball first.

I can get into hockey. Olympics are a good time up here ;)

I'm considering adding SFOT to WrestleMania next year, as well, but going on Saturday would require me taking an extra day away from the office and going on Sunday would mean missing out on Axxess. Tough call.

Off topic, but I understood CA Great America has a deal with the 49ers to close on home game days in the fall, but they will be open the day of Mania at Levi's Stadium at the end of this month. I was surprised to see that, but it is their opening weekend so I guess it makes sense. I already booked my plans for Saturday/Sunday so the park is out of my schedule this year.

That's interesting that CGA will be open on WrestleMania Sunday... I wonder how parking will work out. Wasn't that the big beef that held the stadium up for so long? Theoretically Levi's Stadium will have more people (and therefore more cars) for WM than a 49ers game since they fill the field with seats...

But then again, what do I know?
