Terminology: Opposite of stacking?

Then how could you stack trains if there is only one train?

Ride ops not paying attention, talking, not hitting the button to bring the train into the station...

I've seen it done...

We were always original by saying "hitting interval" ;)

Vekomember is from Holland, ishn't zaht veerd?

Even the mighty CP stacks. When I was there the 6th of this month, I saw 3 trains lined up 1,2,3 on MF a couple of times. My buddies apologized because they had bragged so much about how swift the crews usually are.

No worries, I was on vacation. ;)

It's normal operating procedure to stack MF 1-2-3. The train in the load station will not be dispatched until the train on the course hits the final brakes immediately uptrack of unload. If the lift were slower perhaps it wouldn't stack every time, but since the lift is so fast and the trains can take quite a long time to roll off the "trims" after the final overbank, especially this time of year, it's just easier and wait until the train on the course is under complete control of the computer before they dispatch.

Hmm. I'll definitely take your word for it. Strange then that the guys I was with kept saying "This is weird. This line never ever stops moving usually".

Today, for one shift (around 5:30p) on Nitro, the ops were definitely hitting interval. Most trains were getting out as the previous one hit the top of the twisting drop and few made it out right after the prev. train cleared the lift. Of course, once the shift change occurred, we went right back to stacking a three train op.

Hmmm, so Landan and Adam must have been up there for opening shift. It's literally unbelievable how the day time Nitro crew can be as good as any CP crew and the nighttime Nitro crew can be as bad as any SF crew. Something needs to be done about that, I think, it's the parks star attraction!

Up at SOB, its called luck. :)

Actually, we have been doing pretty good at it this year. During slow days, we can easily keep trains going, but with full trains, guests sitting wrong, etc., it takes a little bit. GO SOB CREW!!!

I think what needs to be done in the SF chain is a little incentive, like hit interval or get fired :)

I've seen trains on Timbers miss a block violation by 1-2 seconds because a train was sent out to early.

We would occasionally cause the train to set up in the block brake on Raptor. Luckily the block brake clears itself. As all the ops figure out when the earliest you can send the train is, the problem goes away. When hitting interval, it was always a 2-3 second miss of a block brake set up.

SFMM Salvi, I think that would be a bit harsh, but some incentive would be nice (although the hidden incentive of quicker line = happy guests exists no matter what). However, I fear that most of the SF people would scream blasphemy. I've heard so many times that they shoudln't be worrying about capacity, but rather safety. I think some people forget that you can increase the speed you do your job without sacrificing the amount of attention you pay to it.

I think they can't afford to fire any employee's seeing that on cold days when employees call in 'sick' they have to make security guards check restraints. Pitiful.

Landan was there, but he was working the main console. It was a blonde guy and blonde girl. Adam was not there, but when he is, he always lets us get away with the lap bar slouch. :)
