After losing a battle to demolish the racetrack at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds, a group of neighbors was annoyed to hear Metro Council members saying the city should consider putting up some roller coasters, too. But some councilmen say it’s smart business for the city, which is about to study the best use of the 117-acre site, to explore the possibility of opening a theme park there.

Welcome to PeavyBuzz: Your Portal to Philip E. Peavy (The Third even), and his amusing, narcissistic, antics!
Don't you have any friends on Facebook who will listen to you cry about the environment, overpopulation, and what you happen to have figured out about humankind while working at your mcjob?

This entire thread summed up: Phillip & Aamilj still don't get it. and nobody is getting this theme park.
I've heard of Cliff's Notes before - are you ripping them off? ;)
Hehehe..... :)
Here's some more "I's" for you Travis. "I" don't have a mcjob, not like their is anything wrong with that given the economy. "I" have a business degree and work in business. "I" interview clients regularly to help them improve many of their difficult financial lives. "I" did not get my "edumacation" from Coasterbuzz and the rest of the rollercoaster heads who regularly post on this site. FYI only.
"I" don't care. Neither does anyone else here. FYI only.
To reiterate, pointing a finger at your peers and saying that they're wrong is no way to start an actual discussion. Arguing isn't a discussion; it's not constructive; it's just noise.
Although there seems to be a lot of back/forth going on, making it seem that you're a victim just because there's more people supporting one side over the other is just trivial. What was started has successfully lead to nothing other than bickering, so please just let it die so we can all move on to something else.
I heard something about a something something Tennessee Park something something. (Now you go)
"About once a year someone shows up and amuses everyone about how they're persecuted or just given a hard time because of their views."
I think it safe to say that Phillip isn't worried about persecution. In my opinion, the most "amusing" part is the board reaction to Phillip.
Don't get me wrong, Phillip's extreme environmentalism holds decent "amusement value" on its own. But when you combine board reaction with Phillip's extremism...?
In my opinion, this is the most entertaining thread on here in months.
On the subject at hand... I'm not sure this is viable. But if it is... then, unlike Phillip, I'm all for progress that creates private sector jobs and amusement simultaneously. I'd even be willing to sacrifice some trees, and rare tree slugs to get the job done. Or maybe they can theme the park to environmentalist causes? This way Phillip and ruthless capitalists can join together.

Due to experiences in my life I'm generally not a very nice person to be around when society does not require me to be. So if I offend someone on this site I really don't care.1) Everyone has "experiences" in life. Not everyone uses them as an excuse to be a dick or a victim-- though unfortunately far too many do.
2) I don't care if you try to offend me or not. As long as you're capable of taking it as well as you dish it out, and don't start whining that people are mean to you, therefore you are justified in becoming an even larger tool (breathe) then I'm OK with it.
3) So the question is, are you a tool because people aren't nice to you? Or are you not nice to people because you're a tool?
In my opinion, this is the most entertaining thread on here in months.
Which is why I said long ago, you probably don't belong here. Because we've had lots of interesting and entertaining threads on here since your last little meltdown. They were just on topic.
I don't want to entertain the trolls anymore, so I'm going to ignore them.

I'm sensing some big (albeit begrudging, by many) GROUP HUGS! Yay! Happy happy - joy joy.
Sometimes we just need to be heard.
Sometimes we have to remember to not feed the trolls and to love our .... 'unloved'.
And sometimes, we just need to take our meds on time ;)
Or a shot. I'll have some Jagerbombs.

That was my 'meds' for years. Unfortunately, it stopped working :( Enjoy one (or 30) for me!
^Haikus? Must look up.
I wonder if this Tennessee theme park proposal has anything to do with the former 'Bible land' (?) park that was proposed a few years ago. That was a fun thread.

Very nice..and rare to see a haiku that actually rhymes! They don't have to, after all. However, I prefer poetry that does.
The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist
