Team[s] CoasterBuzz

I would be afraid of having people against me in the station like on 30 coasters in 24 hours last night.but I would also just ignore it. and how could I get to the front of the lines ?
Shorty, your plan would net only 49 coasters. Cedar Point only has 14 coasters, not 15. That sounds cool though. I am sure doing that would get us at least 40 even if we got held up somewhere. After SFWoA You could hit Kennywood to rack up 6 more (if the Lil Phantom counts).

"I figured out a plan that could hit 50 coasters in less than 20 hours.

1) Kentucky Kingdom
Time in Park - 1 hour
Coasters - 7
Drive 2 hours to
2) Coney Island
Time in Park - Less than 20 minutes

Do California Again, Remember SFMM is getting 3 new coasters this year and that would give you 42.

Do california like last night.
remeber SFMM is getting 3 new coasters this year.
that would be 42.
Coasters - 1
Drive 45 minutes to
3) Stricker's Grove (make them open up)
Time in Park - 30 minutes
Coaster - 2
Drive 45 minutes to
4) Kings Island
Time in Park - 1 hour 30 minutes
Coasters - 14
Drive 2 hours to
5) Wyandot Lake
Time in Park - 20 minutes
Coasters - 1
Drive 2 hours to
6) Cedar Point
Time in Park - 2:30
Coasters - 15
Drive 2 hours to
7) Six Flags Worlds of Adventure
Time in Park - 1 Hour 30 Minutes

Total Time - 17 Hours 10 Minutes
Coasters - 50

You still have 6 hours and 50 minutes to spair and possibly hit some other parks. I would love to try and do this, buy I doubt I could get the parks to let me have front of the line access, and be allowed to ride through the night."

Do California Again, like GRP last night Remember SFMM is getting 3 new rides this year, that would give you 42

CP in 2002, get to the point
How do we get started ?
Park cooperation would be nice, but what about simply adding someone to your group that has a borken leg or something ? Don't the parks give exit passes to people with handicaps ? I'm not saying to exploit the handicapped or anything, but I'm sure there is someone out there who is handicapped or has a broken leg that is a rollercoaster fanatic too and would love to be a part of this.

Also, do you have to drive ? If you could fly, this would be really easy to beat...you could probably surpass the 50 mark easily in the midwest alone.

An airline employee with a broken leg - that's the answer !!! ;)

SFGAm, SFStL, SFKK, Holiday World, PKI, SFWoA + CP would add up to a ton of coasters (to many for me to count off the top of my head !). It's getting from park to park that kills it.
I think driving would proboly be one of the rules .or mabey we could use the Space shuttle,
then we would finish in about 3 hours, or we could ride every coaster in the u.s.. Just a joke!!

In regards to challenging ACE: let's remember that Coasterbuzz, however much we love it and participate every day, is not an established group with dues, membership, and a real media network (newsletters, magazines, merchandise) more than just a bit. Sort of like a mom-and-pop shop challenging a nationwide chain of restaurants to a cook-off. No offense to either ACE or Coasterbuzz, but they're just not interested in our competition.

1) Many Buzzers ARE Acers, so I don't think there is a real rivalry between organizations.
2) There's no real reason to challenge ACE; just work with Guinness and Discovery. IMHO, Guinness would have to recognize the REAL record holders and not favor any one group. And Discovery would have egg on its face if they filmed the losers only.
3) The REAL challenge, as I see it, is where/how can you ride the most coasters in 24 hours, hence the competition idea.
Note: I started a new thread "Where is the record?" but I better note this here, too:

I checked Guinness website to get the rules and start setting this up -- but I can't find this durn record. Can someone find this and link me, please?

If you watched the show they counted Colosus (I know I spelled that wrong) as two. Therefore Gemini would be 2. This brings a grand total of 15. That is why I said PKI has 14 (Racer) and Kentucky Kingdom has 7 (Twisted Sisters).
Yeah Lil' Phantom counts, but if you wanted to hit the most you could head to Paramount's Canada Wonderland and get 12 more (13 if they have a racer). If someone could do this it would be awesome. I know I won't simply because I am 16 and do not think I could get the parks to go along with me, maybe someday when I am older I will try it.

I can imagine the parks going along with letting us through lines , but I'm not sure customs will cooperate! LOL!
The one thing some you are forgeting about your plan is night. The parks are only open till 11 at the lastest.

This is true, but I think that group was allowed to ride through the night. I am not positive, buy I do remember them riding some coasters when the general public was not there.

Umm, I'm thinking about training for my pilot's license. Hit OH, PA, NY in one day, Knobles (sp?) Kennywood, SFWoA, CP, PKI. If kiddie coasters count, then hit Memphis Kiddy Park in Cleveland. Then CI while we're in Cinci. Maybe we could get Jerry to open Americana for us for 3 more coasters. Hit Erieview while we've up by the lake. And also Stricker's Grove where we can get 3 more. In PA, we can hit Conneaut for one, Dorney, Hershy, Idlewild, Lakemont for 3, and Waldameer Park for 2.

Sound like a good lineup? About 59 coasters?

If you do the same itinerary as the ACErs did but leave out the two family fun centers, you could go 10 minutes south of Knotts and hit D.land and DCA and get six coasters. Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Matterhorn, Gadet's Go Coaster, California Screamin', and Mullholand Madness are better than those two family fun centers with two junior coasters. That would be realistic- especially if you did it after X and when Flashback is working---you could get 47 coasters.

Life is like a coaster---
You go up, down, turn-around, and upside-down...and then there's all that pressure on your head, too...
Man would I like to get in on this! Hoy much might an escapade like this cost? That record can easily be broken!
