Talon: The New #1 Invert?

coastergenius, that kind of logic doesn't make sense at all!

That's like me saying Iron Dragon is better than Big Bad Wolf because I've ridden it and I don't think any other suspended coaster could be better. I've seen footage and I know this isn't true, but what the hell kind of logic is that...really?

Becoming all too typical on this board.

I'm just saying that he has a conclusion but not a justification, you can't just say that there are aliens on Jupiter without getting documented proof, and when he said Raptor was the best Invert he just said that having no proof of that.

Boy, I don't know about comparing a SLC (Serial Thriller) to a B&M Inverted...

Coastergenius: Raptor is currently the #1 rated B&M Inverted, on almost EVERY poll taken. I did not claim to agree or disagree with that assessment. I was merely pointing out the fact that despite not being the largest or fastest, it typically gets the #1 ranking. The B:TR's of the world are also great, as is Top Gun at PGA. I just posted the question because Talon looks like it has a good chance of being a more exciting ride.

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
IMHO it'll be #1 until the next CF:LP park builds one a little bigger and a little more intense.

Just look at the Wild Thing, Steel Force and MAMBA

No it will not, even if it is better it won't take #1, because it is not at CP.

#1: Millennium Force
#2: Raging Bull
#3: Tie B:TR/Raptor
#4: Viper (SFGAm)
#5: Goliath/Magnum
Coastergenius is right actually, I've been on both Raptor and B:TR, and B:TR is much funner, and much more intense. Talon's first drop looks like a giant version of Batman's, so it looks pretty sweet. :)

Um, but he just said he's only been on B:TR. Personally, I like them both.
Wild Thing is actually bigger then Maggie, and besides show some respect to the Green and Yellow beast ;)

You build it, I'll ride it
Regarding Talon, can someone get in contact with the PR people at Dorney and ask them to move the web cam? Now that the drop and loop are in place you can't really see what is going on at the rest of the construction site. Looks like they are starting to put up the zero-g roll, but you can't really tell for sure. How about a profile shot?
Actually Randy look at these figures
MAMBA 5600ft long
Steel Force 5600ft long
Wild Thing 5460ft long

and you have to admit to yourself that of the three Wild Thing is the least "WILD"

Uh, Dustijn, I believe Randy said "Maggie" was smaller, referring to Magnum XL-200 at CP. Not Mambo (#5), Steel Farce, or Mild Thing. ;)

And yes, out of those three Morgan hypers, Wild Thing is the least Wild. I prefer Mamba's first half to them all, then Steel Force's second half. But overall, Mamba wins the game.

AAGGHH!!
How can you say Great Bear is a dud?
Did we ride the same coaster??
I think it has the most interesting first drop as it picks up momentum going around the first turn before the drop.
Batman has good theming but I don't ride the coasters to look at the theming
Raptor has to be the best inverted so far in my book
If the lines weren't so long I would have rode it more than twice.
That coaster really packs a punch.
But Great Bear deserves more recognition then it gets.

"Uh... what do you call Raptor's drop? You're half way down it before you straighten out. The mother of all drops of this type belongs to Alpengeist, but all of the B&M inverts that I've been on have that outstanding quality in the back outside seat as you get yanked around that drop. A great sensation!

NICE NEW FEATURE!!! I would suggest the back left on Talon will be awesome on the drop, just like the back right is on Raptor.
