Talon Grip of nothing

Hmmmm. Ok, bearing in mind that I've only ridden 5 B&M Inverts (Talon, Raptor, Great Bear, Alpengeist, and SFGAdv's take on Batman), I'd have to say that Talon is a GREAT creation. I found the layout to be interesting, and the insanely close footchoppers are GREAT (and not even limited to the front seat, because even in the back you can see how close other riders' feet are getting :) )

I can't fathom what people calling it forceless are looking for in a coaster. I'd say "maybe I rode it on a good day", but that'd be 2 good days in a row for a total of 17 laps. The only thing I can think of, is that the ride DEFINITELY did warm up during the day (or maybe that was me), so if you rode it early in the morning on a cool day and based your opinion on that, you should try it again. On a hot June day, it was FLYING by the evening.

I rode Talon for the first time last week and thought the ride was great. It must pull some pretty good G's because I had my first "grey-out" ever. Talon is an excellent addition to Dorney park.

Out of the inverteds that I have been on (Talon, Raptor, Fire & Ice Dragons, and Batman at SFGAd & SFStL) I found Talon to be one of the best inverteds. In fact, I would place it at #2, behind Fire Dragon.

I've only been on three inverts (Batman: TR at SFGAM & SFStL, and Raptor) and if Talon is anything like any of those I don't understand how it could possibly be a ride that's not "way fun".

I think the problem is with some people is that when a new ride opens people start to build it up more then it really is. When I used to work for various online movie publications I saw the same type of thing. Only the second coming of Jesus Christ would be enough for some people.

Of course then again if that happened you'd still have some people saying, "I don't believe his entrance was forceful enough"
Talon was a good coasters its not the best but its a hell of alot better the a SLC or batman the ride. i actualy lost my stumich in the drop and in the loop and leaving the immilain not serouse stumich lossing but a tad and it takes alot for me to get that on a coaster.
i can see why he waited two hours if he went on either of these past two saturdays, the parking was in both overfill lots both weekends.
but imo talon...lets not go there.:)

please, intense I had very little g forces on me, and sure the layout and everything is ok, but if it doesn't have good g's, I don't like it.

What would you rather be doing... working?

People are never happy unless they're complaining about something.

The layout for Talon is so different from the other B&M inverteds I have ridden. I love the dive drops and foot chopper effects. Definately the best inverted, IMO and I can't wait to get back and ride it again.

While I did like Talon, I was slightly disapointed in how "forceless" it was, but then again, I have that complaint about most B&M rides. The helix at the end, however, was very cool. Or maybe when I rode it, I was just spoiled by how much I had liked Great Bear at Hershey the day before.

well you guys who are thinking they arent intense as they used to be, they are doing this because most of the GP dont like intense rides like us enthusiasts do. But when you think about it, maybe B&M is trying not to have an overall intense ride but one section of real intensity, which will please us enthusiasts but keep the GP happy with a smoother ride. Nitro for example has the real tight, high intensity helix. Talon has tight quick turns, which make for a fun ride. So you can see B&M are keeping the tradition of intense rides but incoporating them into a small section not the whole ride.
