man, you buys bicker about everything dont you? oh well, you cant stop these people from doing what they'r doing, so why whine about it? i find it funny, its not like the parks are actually gonna go to the extremes and close rides down because of this, so just chill people. everyone in here knows people are too greedy to shut down a multi billion dollar buisness because of these people, chill....

The guy on the pic of the Ga. Cyclone reminds me of a funny story at SFOG. We were standing around up at Acrophobia, rain had shut us down but the Cyclone was still running (it's next to Acro). We saw a guy on the lift hill stand up completely out of his restraint. I guess he thought he could get away with it, but as soon as we saw it happen, we called Cyclone's crew and told them what was happening. He thought since the crew couldn't see him he was okay. Well, he was wrong, and was booted out promptly.

No one is whining... what's your point? People who do stupid things, especially if they're enthusiasts, give the community a bad name, so it's well within our realm to talk about that kind of thing.

After the Perilous Plunge accident people were complaining about installing OTSR... well with a jerk like this... a park might reconsider... I tell you it's jerks like this, that make me want to go out and crack some walnuts...

That man would be none other than Buck Buckley himself. I could have sworn I read in a discussion somewhere that he is not purposely standing up in that photo, but rather experience the effect of a backseat solo ride on the Georgia Cyclone. I don't know whether this is true or not, but it would fit his personality as being someone very opposed to this sort of behavior by enthusiasts and GP alike. The quote listed on the page even states:

"Bill Buckley, a well-known enthusiast, illustrates the fantastically forceful airtime in the back seat. He's not trying to stand up — in fact, with his restraints fairly loose, he's holding on for dear life!"

Not trying to necessarily defend Buck, but rather just trying to give the other side of the story that may in fact prove to be the true one.

That may be true... the back seat of the Cyclone is quite an air-filled experience!

I couldn't agree more. The only person who knows if he is trying to stand or being forced up by the ride is the man himself. Without that, the best opinion is probably the photographers'.

As for the other, I don't know, the page is not working for me.

"outsider", have you ever ridden the back seat on the third drop on Ghostrider? I swear, I have a picture of my girlfriend and myself in very similar positions during that drop! I can't speak for Mr. Buckley though, I wasn't there. I'm just saying appearances can be deceiving.
