From time to time a box will pop up and ask me if I want to take a survey.
I have done this already, so now I always say "no thanks".
I figure that because I have already been surveyed, I should not repeat the survey.
Fromo a data collection perspective, is this what I should be doing? Or should I be participating once in a while?

Cookies eventually expire... so it's not always possible for it to "know" if you've participated before. I get it too every once in awhile, but I'm usually off to the next page so quickly that I don't even notice.

Ah, I see I failed to make myself clear.
My question isn't why it happens or how to stop it. My question is about your preferences for the data collection. Do you prefer more responses that may be duplicates, which might be more indicative of actual visit*s*, or should I do the "statistically right" thing and decline if I've already participated, which would be more indicative of actual visit*ors*? :)

(who is pretty certain that the answer is, "I really don't care" which is why I failed to bring it up for so many months...but it doesn't hurt to ask! :) )

Doing it once is enough. I'm actually curious to see what the data looks like, because they (Federated Media) are using a third party now, and it's not in their admin area to look at. The age and income stuff is probably insightful, but the rest I doubt has changed much.
