Surprising Coaster Elements

I forgot abou the airtime hill after the big hill on Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls. I forget becasue its been a year, did that ride even have any restraints from keeping you in the log?
nemesis, a B&M inverted at alton towers in england is full of suprises. the best one is the last inversion. you can see all the ride really well from the surrounding area and walk all around it, but you never see the final inversion until you are actually upside down in the inversion! it is a really clever trick and really adds a great punch to the end of the ride.

I noticed two places on Dudley where I got airtime. But the drop and the airtime after that were the most surprising part of the ride. I hadn't expected that drop to be that wet, gut-wrenching, and steep! X was also amzing, too. The flip at the top of the lift scared the crap outta me!

For people who have been on Alpingeuist (sp!) what about that first inversion?

The final helix on Raptor gets me every time also, the little dip before the lift hill on the Hurricane in Myrtle Beach.

Definately the butterfly loop on Superman Ulitmate Flight! Holy Airtime!!!

SFGAm 2003: B&M Flyer!?!?!

The roll after the launch on Hulk. Got a nice pop of airtime on that. I also like any and all dive loops, especially floorless dive loops. (see Kraken)

Maybe it's so long ago that people forget, but on Batman:The Ride, one of the corkscrews is a surprise because it goes in the opposite direction that the curve is (I think it's the first corkscrew).

SFGAdv Nitro's Hammerhead looks like a standard turn, so it's a nice surprise that it speeds up on the first part of the turn.

The sudden negative G's on SFGAdv's Rolling Thunder (especially on the left side) on the way back to the station.

The incredibly steep drops all along Gemini at Cedar Point. I t seems so benign until you ride this amazing thrill machine.

The final section of Journey To Atlantis at Sea World Orlando.

How about the first drop on Grizzly at Paramount's Kings Dominion. The first time I rode that I had no idea it turned at a angle instead of going straight down.

Also the tunnel on Grizzly surprised my because since it is built in the woods you can't see anything in front of you so this element was unexpected.

Close Calls 1. Grizzly (PKD), 2. Batwing, 3. Montu

The helix on Kumba at BGT. I love the way the ending of the ride is hidden from view.
