Surprising Coaster Elements

What elements on different roller coasters do oyu think are surprising? For me its the Butterfly loop or whatever on S:UF. What do you all think?

The last dip into the station of the Rampage coaster at Visionland.
The finale of the Journey to Atlantis ride at Sea World in Orlando.
The split lift action of the Twister at Knobels.
Down into the trenches of the Montu ride at Busch Gardens, Tampa.
The head-on, near collision experience of the Dueling Dragon coasters at Islands of Adventure.
The surprisingly painful ride of the Grizzly at Paramount's Great America.

I know on Raptor at Cedar Point, the barrel roll surprised me because we went into it so fast. I also though it would have fliped us in the opposite direction that it did.

The batwing on Montu was the most surprising to me. It's also my favorite element. I'm really shocked that no other park has an inverted with a batwing. To me, it's so much better than your "standard" cobra roll.

I was really surprised at the airtime on Wildcat at CP. I made the mistake of getting on the coaster thinking it was a smaller one, and wouldn't give much of a pop...but was I wrong! :) That little thing packs quite a wollop is a small space...Schwarzkopf knew how to make 'em small and great! :)

the cobra roll on Ice Dragon. whoa, I thought I'd have to hop the fence after the ride was over and pick my feet up after that part.

The OTHER inverted with a batwing. Top Gun's dives under a walkway through a misty tunnel, and it isn't braked at all either :)

As a person who has ridden Top Gun well over 200 times now, I can tell you: That ride is truly something special and should not be overlooked. It is fast, intense, and just plain fun. If you can make it to Carowinds on a weekday, you will be able to get Top Gun 50 times or more (I did 50 in one day).

I just loved that Horshoe on Stealth, but that Swoop hill on Superman:Ride of Steel@SFNE that goes into the underground mist tunnel is the better. The greatest has too be the entire beginning of Boulder Dash. The never ending lift hill uphill through the forest, then that scary turnaround and the first drop with the cross over the staion. Because your on the mountain side in the forset you feel like you're at ground level then this happens.
Sounds good! The last time I was at Carowinds, ('93 I think) Vortex was their newest ride! It was only my second stand-up.

Dudley DoRight's airtime hill. Wow, I wasn't expecting that!

You are bold, but are you also...daring?
I'm surprised no one has mentioned X.........From what I've heard (I've yet to ride it myself, unfortunately), the entire RIDE on that coaster is a surprising element!

Judge Roy Scream - the surprising hop into the supports on the return run

Zyklon (Branson USA) - the sudden whiplash given by the brakes before the last turn (not really fun but it surprised me)

Floater air under the bridge on Dudley got me too, even though I was semi-expecting it.

The turnaround drop on Timbers. I never expected that to do anything until it darn near tossed me onto the outgoing track.

The two-part rollover on Gemini.

X :), it was real surprising how long i had to wait (1 hour), may seem short, but That is how long it took me to get from the the enterence of the station, onto the ride, The face-first drop was real surprising, It was a real rush!, as for the rest of the ride, it was cool, but you cant beat the forces in the drop, and raven turn(s).
