Superman Birthday Bash at SFNE

That was Lord Gonchar, and he will be subsequently tarred and feathered for treason.

Not sure I actually coined the whole "Nyquil" thing (maybe I did, I don't honestly remember what I did yesterday) - but, I'm certainly one of the most vocal about my lack of love for the big yellow snooze button. I'm more than willing to take the credit.

OK, now I'm 99% sure that we've led almost parallel lives. I think with that comment you officially pass Vater as the CB poster who's most inside my head.

Actually about 2-3 weeks before the accident on Superman, the ride had a one train operation and was running faster than ever. The chain seemed alot faster and I know that the rest of the ride was alot faster. The forces were much much more forceful and bunny hops were godly!!!! I thought it was going to be a great season after that ride, but then the accident happened. I haven't been there since. Does anyone know how it is running now? Does it seem slower than it used to run?

Man, I have GOT to get up there this year! I have yet to get a ROS. :-(

The new restraints don't kill the ride. You still get the sensation of floating, you're not just coming up out of your seat.

And the day I was there, the line was at the bottom of the stairs. :)

Any RoS, Tina? And you call yourself an enthusiast! :P

Hobbes: "What's the point of attaching a number to everything you do?"
Calvin: "If your numbers go up, it means you're having more fun."

I stopped by SFNe on Friday on my way back from Boston. ( I live in NJ) The park was packed o the brim with people yet Superman only had a (get this people) 12 minute line. The restraints don't ruin the ride. As far as how it was running. Maybe a little on the slow side? I mean common, I didn't get bruises from the airtime until the third ride. ;-)

-Aaron who hopes that people start riding the thing again so SFNE doesn't Tear it Down for Low Ridership. Until then, enjoy it while it lasts. People will forget about the accidents and lines WILL build.

Andy, Tina is *nothing* short of an enthusiast. She even took an extra ride on Cheetah before declaring Boomerang her favorite coaster at Wild Adventures....;)

I didn't get to another RoS (other than SFA's) until last year, and SFNE's is *that much better* than SFA's, which HAD been my previous Numero Uno...I find it VERY hard to believe that no one has asked B&M to create a hyper of even SIMILAR intensity...but until they do, there's just no comparison for me...:)

RoS rides, (and the wood in PA and IN), are the best arguments I can think of for abandoning my *near-perfect* climate...

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

My time will come, Andy, probably later this year. ;-)

When I was at SFA a few months back the RoS wasn't running, but I did admire it. Does that count? ;-)

Bill, you can always have a "summer home" up there.

Man, that sounds like an awesome event. I already have non-refundable plans though. :-)

I can't imagine doing an ERT on S:ROS. It's way too intense! It had me and my riding partner seeing stars in the first helix on different rides. The airtime is insane, even with the new restraints and stapling. The second hill by the photo booth and the hill leading into the second tunnel are my two favorite areas. Even with the new restraints, the crew was being very efficient, especially when it hit nightime. Then they were really flying (it's funny you'd think it would be the other way around)! There were several rides where they made the dispatch before the other train was just hitting the brakes.
