I got this from Six Flags New England if you're interested in a spot of Superman ERT:
  • DATE: Saturday, July 17th.
  • Event is for coaster/park enthusiasts. Each enthusiasts is entitled to bring up to 3 guests apiece but they must be either season pass holders too or pay the non SP price of $19.99 each.
  • EVENT IS FREE (not a typo) for Six Flags season pass holders/up to three guests of enthusiasts who are also Six Flags season pass holders. (Does not have to be SFNE pass)
  • $19.99 EACH for enthusiasts/up to 3 guests who are not season pass holders. To sum up, season pass holders are free, just have to be an enthusiast or guest of one, and non SP enthusiasts and "guests" can pay the $19.99 apiece
  • Event includes, admission, first ride of the day on Superman, a free Superman Ride of Steel prize raffle in our picnic grove (including S:ROS chain links, tees, etc.), Superman ROS birthday cake, and 1 hour of night-time ERT, 10-11pm on Superman Ride of Steel! Again, either your season pass or $19.99 admission will get you access to the day's activities.
  • Since the event is on a Saturday, we're going to offer a $3/person discount off Lo-Q units for "birthday guests."
  • This event is IN ADDITION to the Superhero Celebration 3 which will still be held in August.
  • I ask anyone who believes they will attend, or has any questions, to email me at supermanbirthdaybash@hotmail.com and I will then send them an Evite. This Evite is to help us keep track of who all is coming.

Sounds fun, maybe I'll go. :)

There are only 10 types of people in the world - those who understand binary and those who dont.
Man if only I didn't start a new job tomorrow... Sounds great!

But then again, what do I know?

God, the year i move, the park starts to do cool stuff. Grr... Yes, go, everyone. If you've never ridden it, go double. This sounds great - and it's free for season pass holders - if you're in NY or NJ, it's worth the drive just for S:ROS (and i've yet to read convincing evidence that the new restraints kill the ride).

peace

S:ROS; SFNE. Ride it, and you'll understand.
Nelson- Watch for a thread on that soon, just got back from SFDL w/ new restraints...

But then again, what do I know?

The restraints do nothing to hurt the ride as far as the riding is concerned.
I agree, the restraints, for now (meaning I don't think this is how they're going to end up) don't "ruin" anything except dispatch times.

Joe, would *kill* to go to this event (and Supermania)!

OMG I have a new sig!!!

Joe, I thought you preferred Nyquil...;)
He does, and so should you, you infidels!! Long Live Nyquil!!!!!! :)

Fate is the path of least resistance.

The one thing I don't really like about this is that I would have to be in the park all day long. SFNE is my home park its its hard for me to spend more than 3 hours there on any given day. 13 hours in the park is a bit much for me, but I think I'll still go.

Learn to live.
Hmmm, maybe it's a good thing I haven't sent in my KennyKon registration yet...

Yeah, I DO prefer NITRO (get it right or pay the price!) dammit...I wonder if SFGAd is having Coaster Celebration this year?

Anyhoot, if you were there the day I was there this year Gator, you would have died and gone to heaven - SRoS was running the second best I'd ever seen it...MUCH better than that night ERT we had in '03!

Joe "NITRO NITRO NITRO!" C.

Why is Six Flags New England using Hotmail and Evite for their public relations and marketing?

Because the director of group sales probably doesn't want his normal inbox filled with enthusiast mail.

I hadn't considered how enormously stupid it'd be for a park employee to give enthusiasts their contact info., I suppose. People ought to be able to restrain themselves, but I wouldn't want a billion pieces of e-mail coming to me that're all about how churros should have more cinnamon or something.

I hear that there will be no Coaster Celebration at SFGADV.

Well Maddie, churros SHOULD have more cinnamon....but let's leave it for the park to find out by READING the threads here rather than having a ton of *whiny enthusiasts* e-mail the parks GMs.

Whoever's responsible for *coining* the name Nyquil, and I honestly don't know WHO it was, deserves a Supes t-shirt as a prize or somthing...

If it's steel (and you're not flipping me upside down), then I'd like some STRONG forces, either positive like the Gios, or negative like the RoS (or you could just ride SFoT's Shockwave and get *everything*)...leave the floater airtime to the wood, and the kiddie coasters! :)

Intensity, it's not just for flat rides anymore...;)

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

That was Lord Gonchar, and he will be subsequently tarred and feathered for treason.

I like Nyquil as a name. I've always called it Sucko. I'm a marked man for those ops I tell you. Nitro is the first coaster where I'm had two seperate episodes concerning my lapbar with two different ride ops. Joe's right though, the day we were there at SFNE, RoS was the lick and he even said... and I quote :

"I'm stupid for liking Nitro better because I'm dumb."

Ok, that's not a direct quote, cause i quit listening shortly after he said Nitro, but it was along those lines.

Brian, who says even your boy Keefington thinks Nitro sucks. (._.)
