Superman at SFMM

hmmm, guess your right. Well, I dont work for 6 Fags anymore, do I still have that NDA thing on me? I heard yes more than no, so I dont know...hmm
Boy, you flip-flop more than Bush Claims Kerry does.

You've got info because you're a ride op.

Now you aren't a ride op, yet you still know everything about the ride.

Which is it? Can't have both...

I know everything in that park cause I talk to Supervisors every day. I became best friends with 3 supervisors and countless ride ops. We all hang out and what not. I'm kept informed. I was notified by text message at 1:45 on Wed. afternoon that Superman was opening on Thursday. Then I got a text message on Thursday at 2 saying that I should go to Superman cause its open. I just keep myself informed literally everyday about news and info. If you want, you can catch me on AIM (LPNAFIOWNALL) and I can pull you into a chat with a supervisor and a lead from X. *** Edited 8/23/2004 6:13:50 AM UTC by Lnknprk4eva03***
/\not getting it either.

Why do I feel like we're already in the off season?

I know we were all newbies once, but did we all...nevermind...I'm going back to work...

So true.

It just bugs me when people do the whole, "I'll tell you I know, but I won't tell you what I know, so basically I'm not telling you anything you don't already know".

BTW, Superman running both sides would be great, but one side open isn't much different than Montezuma or most other shuttle coasters. I'd much rather see two trains on all the other rides. *** Edited 8/23/2004 9:24:13 AM UTC by DWeaver***

And when it comes down to it, DW, that does 2 things for me:

A) It shows me that they really don't know what they are talking about and really just want you to think they do. Next he'll come back with a "But I do know, you can believe me if you want but I'm still not telling" line.

I don't believe you, and I never will with you acting like this.

B) It just shows them for being an attention whore to the nth degree. Incase you haven't noticed, I'm the attention whore on this site, go find somewhere else if you can't handle it.

I'm beginning to think that most of the 'normal' enthusiasts have found either the Buzz, URC, west coaster, or a few other sites to post, and that everyone left is just a troll.

Thank god we got Kyle out just in time... *** Edited 8/23/2004 10:03:30 AM UTC by TeknoScorpion***

Um....yeah.... Excuse me for butting in, but what actually happened and what did they actually fix? Any accurate info that people are WILLING to share(so i guess this excludes the claimed "ride ops") would be most appreciated. Thank you.

I am now making a trip to the Mountain just for this ride. Yeah, i know im gonna catch hell for saying that.

I dunno who keeps making the "Knotts before Mountain" comment, but lets be brutally honest here, who isn't bored at Knotts 1/2 way through the day unless you have a 2 year old? Coaster-wise, i'm sorry, i dont see how the parks could even compare.

Lnkprk.... Just because you work somewhere doesn't mean you know it all, nor does your supervisor. Even if they did know, I'd bet they're not supposed to pass that info out like candy. I'm a TL @ CP, I know about the day to day operation of my ride. And it's the truth, people who don't know talk like they know it all.... and you're a FORMER employee, so why do you care about some code of secerecy? Upper mgmt knows about that stuff, not seasonal employees, not matter what you think you know.

Since Xcelerator opened, I'm muched more interested in Knott's than SFMM. It's not that Xcelerator is that impressive of a ride (say compared to X), but Knott's finally seems to have grown up.

When you start looking at what SFMM really has to offer, there really isn't a whole lot there.

  • Gold Rusher - fun, but not worth the trip
  • Revolution - this USED to be a good coaster
  • Colussus - See Revolution
  • Psyclone - See Revolution
  • Ninja - fun, but not worth the trip
  • Flashback - SBNO
  • Deja Vu - SBNO (or at least everytime I go there).
  • Batman - good coaster, good load times.
  • Viper - hmmmm, another Arrow looper, just bigger.
  • Riddler's Revenge - great coaster, unbearable load times -- I dread going on this thing because of the painfully annoying queue.
  • Golliath - fun, wouldn't necessarily make a trip for it though.
  • Scream - Haven't been on it, but I've been on enough B&Ms to more or less have already been on it.
  • Superman - fun, when operating.
  • X - the real reason to go to the park.

So for me, the only real reason to go to the park is X and Riddler's Revenge (and throw in Batman or Superman if I'm lucky). If I'm at the park for 9 hours, I'll be lucky if I can ride 3 rides.

If I'm at Knott's for only 1/2 a day, I can ride everything a couple of times, have some lunch, and maybe play some video games. I'll take 6 hours of fun over 9 hours of misery anytime. And when Silver Bullet opens up, I'll have another excuse to spend 1/2 a day there.

99% of the things that upper management knows, is always passed down to ops for training purposes. Its true that SOME of the things arent supposed to be passed along, but, it just always end up being passed because management thinks that ops have a right to know whats going on in the park. I didn't know if that NDA still applied to me or not since I used to work there(never really read the contract)but, rumor has it that I dont. Seasonal here doesn't mean anything. Your hired as a seasonal, but, you work as a fulltime or part time. I dont even know why they call it seasonal.
I guess Cedar Fair has it way different. Im employed currently by Cedar Fair(cringe), and their ways of doing things are completely different than Six Flags as I see things happen.
I never meant to give the impression of the "i know but im not telling" 4 year old childs play. I just wasn't sure if I was able to say anything because of that NDA crap. I guess through Six Flags, I can leak anything, but, Cedar Fair is pretty anal on it.

You know what the best NDA is? NOT TELLING THE RIDE OPS!

Why in God's name would any park tell it's ride ops info that could take the wind out of a marketing campaign or that could scare the crap out of potential riders and then have them sign an NDA?

BTW, I know what GAdv. is getting this year, I know what CP is getting next year, I know what new parks are going to be built for the next 5 years and I know how many nose hairs Dick Kinzel has...but I can't tell you. Aren't you so jealous!!!??? Don't you wish you were as cool as me?

Now now Andy...be nice to those of us who are jealous of Sr. Limòn Frìo. ;)

Yes, I remember the heady days of Ride Operadom. There were always those of us who lied about knowing the next big secret. I think the apropriate response was to feel sorry for them.

And for those of you who feel think you need to be in the know to feel special, just remember that each and every one of us is special in our own unique way.

To all the special people out there!

Hear hear! ;)

Next thing you know, we'll be seeing you on our boxes of Wheaties each morning.

Now that would be scarey! Well, Peabody, I'll be sure to make a note of that during the off season, when I start handing out Troll Hunting Awards...

What ever happened to CPNut, he started making sense towards the end...Well, maybe not sense, but he was behaving.

BTW, LincolnPark, did you like the pic my "sister" sent ya? Please don't think me such a jerk, it was all in good fun:).

And yes, that was me...*snicker snicker*

^You have some serious issues dude....
Dude, lighten up. You come up to me on AIM and act like you don't know who you're talking to. Lie #1. Then you try to play it off by lurking around the subject and asking me ever so slyly if I post on forums, maybe thats where you know me from. You knew exactly who you were messaging when you sent it. I was not on your block list, you got my AIM ID from this site. BFD.

You had that pic(which, btw was not me, but you were asking for it) coming to you.

Maybe had you come on and been truthful at first, instead of acting like a pre-pubescent(sp?) child acting like you've talked to me in the past, I would have been respectful. But not after lying to me and sneaking around.

I'm 100 times smarter than you are. I have experience in life and this site that you don't have.

Deal with, Mmmkay?

Next please.
