Superman - any word on reopening date?

Well, considering that the news article that was linked to two posts above yours says "this weekend", I would gander that the answer is yes.
I was at SFA yesterday. They were training/testing the staff on Superman. They had part of their test seat assembled (no lap bar yet). I'm 5'7" and weigh 230 with a 40" waist and didn't have a problem with the seat belt. In fact I had room to spare.
SFNE's Superman did open on Saturday the 29th. One train operation, and I hear that there is less airtime.

Superman: Ride of Steel at Six Flags New England- The #1 Coaster on the Planet for Years in a Row!!!
I heard from a few folks that rode it today. Sound's like the restraints are not too bad, however it really depends on body type. Some said that the shin pads hurt, others it didn't. No one I talked to said they had trouble with girth, and several said it fit better then before.

I hope to ride on Tuesday before I leave town, so I should have a fuller report then.

SFA's superman reopened yesterday...at least according to the latest TR submitted,I wish the same could be said for Iron eagle & TSC though which still havn't opened for the season.
I gotta say that I just saw this picture as the random CB coaster shot on the front page(http://www.coasterbuzz.com/rollercoasterphoto.htm?i=442) and I love the girls in the third row. The one is actually standing up and turned around facing the back of the train, and the one next to her is so far off the back of the seat that it's amazing she did not fly out of the train on her ride.

All I know is that I am off to SFA on the 21st of this month and the restraints actually do sound uncomfortable, mainly the ones around the shins (from what I have read in some of the TRs). I can lose all the weight I want in order to have a roomier seat, however at 35 and 5'2", I doubt I will be getting any taller through the years. This will be interesting indeed. At least it sounds though that the ride will (or should) be open for my visit (my 1st visit). Whether or not it is comfortable, I will let you know.

Just as I thought, maybe we should have a body type ride guide, instead of all of these posts regarding the topic.

ltlbat, look a little closer at that photo.

There is only one rider in the third row. She is sitting on the RH side, and she is turned around, looking behind her, but she is sitting down. It looks like she's off the seat because the seat directly behind her is empty, but you can tell what is happening there because you can see the lap bar on the empty seat in 4R.

Seat 3L is also empty, and the other person (also looking back) is in seat 4L.

Note also that when that train returns to the station, the gentleman in seat 5R will have his seat belt unfastened, but he is unfastening it on the brake run, which is not generally considered to be 'rider misconduct'.
