I heard someone say that Superman: ROS at SFA was over 200 feet tall, had vertical drops, and 10 inversions!

Well' S:ROS is actually taller than 200 feet, so you could have left that out.
I have a friend at school who tried to convince me that Steel Eel went straight down 90 degrees and went over 90 MPH. Some people crack me up.

"I was just at Dorney(see trip report) this past Saturday, and I heard people saying alot of stupid stuff. The way I look at it is that its all in fun. People are there having a good time. I am sure in my time I have probably something dumb, and not really thought about. I don't think it really matters. There are better things we can chat about on here than that."
Amen to that!
I guess I must be one of the ignorant GP then. I have no idea the height of my favorite coasters (Steel Force is around 200ft, I think Kraken is around 140 or 150, HP's Comet is around 80 I think, Knoebels Pheonix is 70-80)... I really don't care. I could personally careless what coaster is bigger or faster or longer. I ride these things to have fun... I ride them because I like them. I don't ride them and memorize every single solitary detail about them to spout off stats for the sole reason of impressing people. If people say "stupid" things in line ("does this log flume have a loop?") I could care less... if they specifically ask something, and I know, then I will tell them. Case in point, talking to someone in line for Talon, I was asked "how many times does it go upside down?" I replied "I think 5." Was I right? Some so called "enthusiasts" would laugh at me because I am so stupid because I didn't know for sure. How many does it have? I could care less. I don't know how tall it is, I don't know how fast it goes, I don't know the lenght of its track. What I do know is this... I think it is one he** of a ride! That is what is important.
I ride these things to have fun... not to learn every single minute detail about them.
Personally, hearing some of the "stupid" comments that some (but not all) of the "GP" makes compared to some of the elitist and ego ladened comments that some (but not all) of so called "enthusiasts" make... I think I would rather be included in the category of "GP".

"I wasn't always this cynical, but then I started kindergarden..."
Also that Tennesee Tornado is a wooden coaster that stops at the top and launches you downhill.

I've got laser eyes, and I know what you're thinking. It comes to no surprise, the Christmas lights are blinking.
