stupid questions you've heard from a guest

Heck, I was wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and a baseball cap -- certainly not dressed an employee -- once and some guy came up, asked if I worked there and started asking questions, since he didn't give me the chance to say 'no.' I wonder too...

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

*This is hilarious!*

I've had people come up and ask me if I work at CP too, when I'm dressed as a guest and just wandering around - maybe we have it in infrared on our foreheads or something.

Certainly not as humorous, but I've always smiled at the guests that will ask how long the wait is as they're standing next to the "You have this long until you ride" signs. Then you point to the sign, they obviously read it, and STILL ask how long it is. Or they'll ask you how long the wait is on a coaster across the park. Didn't you know the employees are telepathic?

Rock and ROLLER COAST the vote!
Nothing immediatly comes to memory but do remember a few incidents at Alton Towers.

We went round to the Haunted House, and me and my friend were with a few girls, anyway we were about to go on the HH when one of the girls asked "Does the ride go upside down" now she thought this because she had just gone on Nemesis and hated every minute of it, of course when she first said it, me and my friend burst out laughing because as we all know, A HH is just a gentle ride, we kept insisting her that the ride did not go upside down but she wouldnt believe us, and every time she said no, it made me and my friend laugh every time.

Overheard Someone asking his friend "does Oblivion go upside down"(when actually viewing the ride) when the friend said that it didnt, he replied, "so there are no inversions underground then" How Dumb, LOL

Also at this time, Hex was brand new, this is a haunted swing ride and you do get the illusion you go upside down but of course, you clearly dont and some of the comments after the ride by people were quite hilarious like

Some Kid about 8 years old saying to his friend"Was'nt it great when we went upside down" and his friend replying "Yeah, it was great"

Another kid about 10 years old saying to his friend"Do you really think we went upside down on that ride

Nothing that hilarous I guess but they are probably the most hilarious things I have ever heard at a park
While at Belmont park today, in line for Giant Dipper, a woman asked the ride op if he was going to check the lapbars before sending the train, which had her daughter on it, out of the station. Why on earth would they not check the bars?!?
My favourite and most frequently asked question has to be ' Am I going to die on this ride? '
What can you answer to such a dumb question? (apart from yes every time)
Ditto....
"Have you ever been on the Ninja at Six Flags in Atlanta? Its the biggest roller coaster in the world!"

"There was a park in Texas where I used to live that had this huge wooden coaster that went upside down a bunch of times."

I was looking at the Cedar Point map on the subway one day and somebody asked me if it was a map of Manhattan. :)

Hey, hey, hey, we I saw Screamin Demon back in 1985 I really did think that you could get off on the other side, and that people that wanted to ride backwards could get in on that side....then again I was NINE

The guy in front of me was about 30.

If you think of New York City is kind of like a bizarre amusement park.

This morning while waiting for classes to start my freind noticed my Beast keychain. Just then another kid at the same table insisted that PKI had torn down the Beast because it was infested with termites. He also said that this was the reason that Son of Beast was built.
Cedar Point is taking down Millenium Force after the Millenium is over, and building a 900 foot coaster.

Cedar Point puts three roller coasters in every year.
Well, since this topic was brought up in another post, we could not resist posting this one. We were in line for Collosus on friday at SFMM on the backwards side and the group behind us in line asked the ride op "does this coaster go backwards?" The ride op rolled his eyes and replied yes! Then they said, and we could not believe our ears " All the way around?" To which I replied " No they stop in mid course and swap the trains around!" Needless to say they did not ride the backwards side. Keep in mind these were fairly intelligent looking 20 somethings, not 8 year olds.

I hear this every freaking time go to Magic. Someone always says "you have to stand up on this coaster?". Thats what hear people say while they are in line for Riddlers Revenge and they are the next people to get on. When hear that feel like choking them.

"Ninja has loops?"

"Goldrusher sucks!" could kill after hearing that! love Goldrusher. could ride it all day.

"Colossus is the tallest wooden coaster in the world."

Psyclone is awesome!" hehe

Opps sorry some of those arent questions but oh well. The questions piss me off and so does the statments. So I got on a roll and put things down that wasn't questions.

i've had people ask me.."Do we really have to wear our seat belts?" they've also asked.."Do i have to put the harness all the way down? i want to put it at it's highest point."  during terrible weather storms there's also been....."if i give u a dollar, would u start this thing back up?"

I talked to someone last night who had just been to California Adventure, and they said the park's S&S space shot ride went up to 900 feet in 1.5 seconds.

Then that would make neighboring Knott's S&S Tower Supreme Scream a 10,000-foot drop in 2.5 seconds. LOL. The GP make me LAUGH!

The most commonly asked question at P.K.I.

Where is the eiffle tower?
