Flying Eagle or whatever the name it is at Striker's Grove.... along with Tornado. Good rides!
I was just curious, how crowded is it on Family Day. I would really like to check it out with the kids, but god knows people in Cincy like to pack a park!

Sea monkeys always die no matter what the box says
I'm not sure about family day, but I was there on July 4th. There was a healthy "crowd", but the lines were all very short. Most rides were one cycle waits, Tornado was normally a two train wait. I doubt that any ride had a wait longer than 10 minutes during the entire day.

Also, I read that family day is usually less crowded than the 4th. Bottom line: don't worry about the crowds. Have fun, this park is a blast!

When I was there on the 4th with my friends it wasn't "crowded" and all of the rides, including the coasters were a one to three train wait.

I was impressed with the park. I am surprised they don't open up to the public more often.

Does anyone know what was going on at Stricker's on Wed 8/10? My kids went with their dad and they said admission was free, food and drinks were free, and rides were free. They only paid for the games.
Stricker's is typically only open when it is rented out. They open up to the public 2-3 times a year. But typically it is just open to businesses, churches, schools, orginazations, ect. that rent it out. I'm sure that the free admission, food, drinks, and all were probably provided by the party who rented it out. Pay more $$$ = Get more perks!

Could be wrong too. But that was my experience at an event I went to at LeSourdsville Lake back in '02. They payed out enough for 1$ admission, free rides, and free drinks for the evening.

Now officially a Halloween Haunt Cornstalker for Fall '08! www.freewebs.com/chadmicah
Well, due to transportation issues and weather frorecast for storms, I will likely not be there tomorrow. Hopefully they'l be open in October again!

And hopefully I can get a ride from PKI Fall Freak out to Strickers again if thats the case...

What a nice park.

That drop on Tornado was quite something. I'm sure those who've ridden will know which one I mean :)

Yeah, that section of Tornado surprises a lot of people. It's fun to watch people who think it is a mild little coaster get slammed when they least expect it!

The park is looking good but I really missed the Crazy Dazy. They did a lot of work on the midway with rearranging the Tilt-A-Whirl and Flying Scooters (which was giving amazing rides) and even building the beginning of what looks to be a fountain.

So is that newly cleared area between the Tornado and Teddy Bear the place they're going to stick Schwabinchen?

fyi: The next public day will be October 8. *** Edited 8/16/2005 12:17:08 PM UTC by millrace***
