All I know is if I'm 1000 feet in the air, it's in a plane. Leaving or landing. In theory...

I will say that as I adjust to my new home town, I'm grateful for the tower.

Wow.... I didn't realize you were there already. How time flies! Glad you are safe, Rob, and we'll talk soon. All the best to you and Brent. :)

What happened to Desperado?

Desperado isn't in Vegas, it's about 30 miles southwest in Primm. IMO, definitely the best coaster in the area, though.

I agree with what's said above. I did all of the rides in the area, but Desperado is really the only one I'd have a desire to ride again. As far as rides, there's nothing that spectacular.

Jeff, when I first went up the tower, I stopped and got a Heineken to muster up the courage to go outside. I was sitting there, looking out the window at the strip and couldn't figure out what the hell all the shaking and noise were. Later, I realized it was High Roller above me. You're right, that is quite disconcerting.

Big Shot actually made me quite nervous for some reason... until the launch. Then it was smiling and laughing the rest of the way. It's my favorite S&S by far, simply because of the location. The height really multiplies the intensity for me. Would I go the whole way down there and pay $16 to go on it again, though? Eh, probably not. I see no reason for me to walk any further than the Venetian.

Hi

It's starting to look like Cedar Point up there... It's like wicked twister, they're running out of land!
I'll be there in a week and a half, although High Roller is closed for maintenance, I am going crazy thinking about X-Scream and the Big Shot as well as Desperado and the other coasters in Vegas.

Is it November 7th yet????????????
