The Flying Turns makes all the right people wet - Gonch

I go to Vegas once or twice a year, and yet has a ride been built there that I will repeat. Maybe ST:TE, but that is purely for the comic value of it all.

The High Roller stinks, but I always take a trip to that end of the strip to hit Speed and the Big Shot.. With a pit stop in the Top of the World bar afterwards. :)
The XScream was ok, but I don't think it warrants a re-ride. It's an interesting experience being dangled over the edge of the tower, but the ride action itself is very mediocre.
Hopefully the new ride will be open by May for my next trip out to Sin City.

As for my experiences at the Stratosphere, I didn't ride anything. I really didn't have a choice, as there were wind advisories that day, however, I wouldn't have ridden had the rides been open. The moment I walked out on the outdoor observation deck, I looked up at the coaster track above me and got instant vertigo. I was immediately plastered to the wall and inching my way back to the door to get back in.
Certain victory.
You read my mind!

So Jeff, the Bonanza Gift Shop, Del-Mar Hourly Rate Motel, and the Pawn Shop with the walk-up window aren't enough to get you back to that area? ;)
Actually, with all of the off-strip stuff that has been on TV in the last year or so, I think it's worth looking around. The Palms has been on Real World and Celebrity Poker Challenge, and I kind of like how low-key Green Valley Ranch is (on Discovery's American Casino).

I will say that as I adjust to my new home town, I'm grateful for the tower. You can see it from virtually everywhere, and I use it as a directional guide when I get lost. Which is easy and often.
I can't wait to do speed, as well as X.
Sounds like I need re-hab, eh? ;)
They Live. We Sleep.
All I can say is that I'm glad there are more than one Travelodge on the strip because the one on the North side was well...you know.
Your telling me! Haha, $1 dollar strip shows in individual boxes almost right across the street from the Strat. I haven't been on X Scream yet, but will surely pay the $ just to try it once...its very similar to G* Skate @ Knotts isn't it?
I guess I'm one of the lucky ones, heights more fascinate me than terrify me.
I agree with Jeff though, I'm not a fan of the loudness of the High ROller inside the Observation area. *** Edited 10/25/2004 11:24:08 PM UTC by ziggyziggmuff***
Build one of those rides that pin you against the wall. Have it go out and over the tower then drop the floor. So Its you the wall and the ground!
