Stratosphere coaster to face Vegas council again

Stratosphere's proposal to build a 740-foot "fish hook" coaster on the side of its tower will get its day before the Las Vegas city council Wednesday night. Nearby residents have strongly opposed the new ride, while proponents say it will spawn more development and attract more people to Las Vegas.

I just read that the vote was delayed at the request of the Stratosphere until Nov 7. The article mentioned that the Stratosphere is also looking at changing the direction of the ride so it runs down Las Vegas Blvd towards the Sahara.I'm guessing that if the ride is moved it will take longer than a year to finish.

I also found out that the back tower of the ride will be 415ft high! WOW! They need to built this now.

I hope it does pass.

Than again we're talking about the city of sin here who would much rather keep their adultbook stores and budget motels than build a rollercoaster that'll attract people from all over.
