X-Scream was sick... this will be sicker. I cannot wait!
Something else to put on the "to-do" list for my May '05 trip..

X-Scream and Insanity look to be the only rides I zero interest of riding. Those rides look absolutly insane. Almost like something you'd see in the movies.
Which is exactly the reason I want to ride it!
I was in Vegas about a month ago. I received a free pass to the top of the tower so I went up to check out the rides. I ride everything and anything, but being up there on top of that tower watching those rides completely freaked me out. I couldn't even imagine riding High Roller. And now this !! oh man.
The article said that it was going to be airlifted to the top of the tower in January and would open a few weeks after that - I just hope it is open for my end of feb. trip.
I loved X-Scream and look forward to this new ride.

I wonder if Insantity will be able to operate with different programs like X-Scream. What freaked me out about X-Scream was the different programs. The first time I rode it was pretty creppy as the program offered a whole lot of bouncing. The times after that were more tame but offered more see-saw action.

X-Scream was the coolest yet scariest ride I have ever done, going "over the edge" was intense, my wife couldn't watch me ride it, I went at night so looking over the edge made it even better, my ride last week was bouncing but also see-sawed back and forth, I can't wait for Insanity. I was actually teasing my wife telling her the new ride should be called "Do you feel lucky"

Good idea for a name!!! ;)
X-Scream was cool and this should be as well. Isn't this "officially" supposed to be the last ride they put up there because of space reasons? I thought I remembered reading that somewhere. Then again, if there is money to be made, they will probably find a way.
I thought this ride was announced a year ago?

This better not be the last ride they put up there. I am still waiting for a Sky coaster and a pin you against the wall ride to be up their. That's when I will be impressed.

Imagine just like I said about this before in a different topic. A ride where its you the wall and the ground spinnig. Or a sky coaster a 1000 feet in the air.

Holy schnikees! That loks un be liev a ble. I typically don't like "spinning" rides, but this one may force me to try it out.

Strange thing is, I've been to Vegas numerous times, but never seem to make my way to the Strat. I've been there right when it opened, but never since. I must admit that gambling and bebochery take most of my time in Vegas, coasters and rides like this take a back seat for me when I'm in Sin City. X-Scream didn't grab my attention enough to give it a ride, but this ride, however, will probably force me back up the tower. Too bad my next trip is only a month away!

A spinning ride 1000 feet in the air ... Is anybody else wondering how large of an area below this will be needed to protect innocent bystanders from the inevitable "protein spills"?

They should be ok, so long as they clearly mark a "Splash Zone".
