Still afraid of some coasters?

Is anyone here but me still afraid of some coasters?

I was afraid of one coaster, Batman and Robin the Chiller. I went to SFGadv this summer and I just couldnt ride it. It wasnt the speed, or the ride, it was the launch. I dont really like launches on anything, except SUE since its sorta weak But thats the only ride I really ever didnt want to ride. So I went to Nitro for another 15 rides. Im not scared of any other coasters, but launch rides just scare me. Anyone else with Launchaphobia? lol

I LOOOVE launched coasters. Chiller is currently my favorite. It's a great launch. I'm not scared of any coasters though. I would love to ride Dodonpa. 0-106.9 in 1.8 seconds. I guess if you couldn't do chiller then Dodonpa's out;)

I wish I was still afraid of some coasters. I think it's better to be afriad so it pumps you up more and makes it a better ride but for me, I'm never afraid of coasters anymore. It's just a matter of a good ride or a bad ride for me. I still love them to death though!

most of us enthusiasts have lost that fear that adds to a ride expirience thats why it takes a coaster like x to scare us and even that wont scare some people

i wish i was scared of a coaster! i hope i start shakin a bit when i see Millenium force. i was scared on gemeni when i went down the drop, i almost pooped in my pants. didnt expect that much air in the back. but i cant wait till i see a coaster that scares me. i dont even get butterflys going up hyper lifts or gyro drop lifts. i wish

1.Fire Dragon 2.Ice Dragon 3.Raptor 4.Batman Knight Flight 5.Kraken

I used to tighten up every time I rode Giant Drop but now it's just like another stroll in the park for me which sucks because it was so much better when I was scared out of my mind.

I would ride X without being scared at all! Or any other coaster. I ride MF without any problem what so ever, and any other coaster for that matter. I dunno, maybe I didnt ride Chiller cause I wanted to ride Nitro more so I just kinda thought about it or something I dunno. I rode OL :FOF, and Joker Jinx, and Im guessing it has the same intensity of launch, and I liked them. So maybe I wasnt up for it that day.

I never get scared anymore either and it makes me disapointed with almost every new coaster I ride that people think are great. By the way I think launched coasters are the best. Launched are the only ones that still can impress me.
Believe it or not, I'm afraid of heights, but not afraid of coasters. I haven't been able to figure out why that is. I still get some butterflies in my stomach on drop rides, but not on coasters. My fear of heights seems to lessen the more I ride thrill rides. The 300 foot Skycoaster in Kissimmee probably did the most to help me face that fear, that and doing some rappelling when I was a Midshipman in the Navy. (You should see the video from the Skycoaster... I was pale as a ghost when I got off the ride, knees a little wobbly.)

I hate it, I haven't been afraid of any coaster since I became an entusiast. I'm actually thinking about leaving the coaster world entirely. Sites, News, Riding, and Parks completly. So in twenty years, when I haven't heard a word or seen a glimpse of a coaster I will regain my fear!

I'm sitting shiva for CCI.

It kinda the same with me coasterchop. Like the time I went up in the CN Tower in Toronto, my legs got all wobbly and I felt like fainting. I eventually got over it but it has happened. Just like SteveWOA said, I almost can't stand launches. I'll go on a ride that has em' but I don't like em' too much. And now I just have to ride Wicked Twister in a week.... Also, while not a roller coaster, I hate drop rides. I hated Drop Zone but have not been on any Power Tower type ride. I'm gonna try to go on the Power Tower Space Shot when I go, but I'm gettin' nervous just thinkin' about it.

Personally I am not scared to ride anything and generally don't get scared of much, There are some moments when I get a sence of fear. Such as Riverside Cyclones drops or even sometimes on a backseat raven ride

Chuck, I'll ride almost anything once, Nungester

Not since I was 9 and rode the Demon. Before then, I was scared to death of coasters...even Space Mountain, on which I had a little "accident" as a kid. This time, however, I was with a friend's family. I was too embarrassed to come off as afraid. After I survived the bloody corkscrew, I was hooked.

Spongebobalex,

WT's launch isnt bad at all. It isnt really all that intense either. The launch is perfect for me I think ;)

I'm with you on that one! I've been on The Raven plenty of times, and a back seat ride still gets the 'anticipation of impending disaster' thing going.

Without the chaindog, you'd never get up the lifthill...

I am afraid of hieghtsand i still ride the big coasters. Thats the best abot ridin big coasters is using the view to scare me stupid. But after riding rollercoasters more and more i lose my fear gradually. I rode MF once and i was checking out the view until i realized i waas above magnum and i looked out over lake erie since i was on the left. But after that ride te hieghts dont bother me as much

Are You Ready!?

The only time I was ever scared was when I rode Superman: Ride Of Steel for the first time like 3 years ago. It was the most exciting thing ever. Now I'm not scared of rides and I wish I was. It makes it more fun when you're scared to do something.
Steel Dragon 200's lift and drop were scary as patooky!!! Unlike Millenium Force's lift hill which is very fast, SD2K goes att a slower pace and really freaks you out. Too big a view and to high up. Then the drop comes, and it's has the best g's, you wish it was over, but you're only halfway down. The best part is the second hill. The best second hill of any coaster I've seen from Boston to Japan. Second hil is over 200 feet of glory, all that airtime and then boom, yanked back down another 200 feet.

X-Flight still scares me, and occasionally the front seat of Millennium. Don't know why Millennium does, I've ridden it enough that it shouldn't but, it does. X-Flight is still just too weird - I would probably ride a flyer over 115 feet, but I can guarentee I'd be scared out of my mind ... X-Flight seems high!!
