Steel Venom @ Valleyfair!

2Hostyl: Yeah, you'd best move through that grubby half-'burb rapidly, too. I got pulled over once for 'not coming to a complete stop before a right turn on red' and got held up a half-hour to 45 minutes before they let me go (without any ticket, of course). It's not all that, either. Not even half a that. I've moved outta better 'burbs.

Drewbie: We both know it doesn't happen every year and that there are ways to control the problem. Not that they've been thoroughly explored (obvious) but if the Netherlands hasn't gone under yet...

The construction is going quite well. The station is starting to take place, and the new tracks and supports have arrived they are in the parking lot. The track color is bright yellow. If you drive by on hwy 101 you can realy see the construction.

Here are some pics of construction. They are not very good though, all that you can see are the periwinkle supports.

Just wondering, does anyone have anyother constriction photos of SV?
I do, but until my scanner gets fixed, they can't get posted. Should happen soon. I've got pics of more supports and track sections including one of the twist sections. My pics are from right next to the parts as I was able to drive right through the lot on my sales call.
maybe sometime i will swing by VF and get a couple of shots! probobly wont happen though because I live 45 min away from VF!
were you able to get permission to post the pics? because VF is private prop and that the park is closed... yea biz might bring you on to property... but yea... i could go on and on... just like people trying to sneak down the CP road and take pics of #16 from back there and parts and stuff... same type of deal... if you want me to go on and on i will but i dont want to go off topic on here... ;)

My unofficial *other hometown* of Nawlins is *still* technically on the map and hasn't gone underwater YET....although the global warming thing could be a good trend for gators in the Big Easy...;). Seriously, if you can "dig a deeper hole" in FL to drain water from pond to pond, you can do it anywhere...;)

Here are some Steel Venom construction pics! Enjoy! Looks like it will be very fun!

Finally, I was beginning to wonder if I needed to make the 7+ hr drive to get some photos on the web. I might still - MIG might have to have a special "road trip" update. :)

Hey people in Iowa - how long does it take to get to MoA from DesMoines?

I'm no Iowan, but I do know it's about 4 1/2 hours if you don't drive like a wussy.

Thanks Playa.

and no "the real swoosh shady" doesn't drive like a wussy.

BTW, we are planning a road trip to VF/CSMOA for the summer - we ought to meet up for a bit. I'll let you know when the times get closer

If it will be swoosh's first visit i'm sure he will be pretty amazed with VF considering how small it is! I find it such a pleasent park! SV will be a good contribution!

Is the ride double impulse, or like the Supermans and V2? I thought it was a confirmed V2 clone, but then someone said double impulse.
IT WILL HAVE ONE TWIST.

Säubern Sie mit Milch? ;)

I don't know what they meant by that. SV is what you'd call a 'standard' Impulse--except there are as just as many 'custom' installations out there if you don't count this one.
