Out of curiosity, why is ************ a four-letter word?

Maybe because they are extremely unreliable , and should leave the rumors to Screamscape?

Closing......

Yeah..... The Pheonix , Raven, Cornball, And Cyclops are all cool , But Superman the Escape still has the biggest single moment of airtime!

Wait, did I do something wrong? And why did the link turn into ********?

As ThePinkDoomOfMonkeys as already said, CoasterFarce is about as reliable as an Enron bank statement (i.e., not very). That's why. CoasterBuzz rightfully frowns upon speculation.

I hope Steel Stampede wins, I voted for that.

Maybe I'm just too fond of old Activision games.

Amazing. More speculative than screamscape.

Eh... reliability doesn't suprise me. I was enjoying their coverage of manufacturers, etc, until I noticed that they have no new information, but simply steal other source's content. Example: their Schwarzkopf section.

Likewise, they publicly admit that most (every?) photo on their site is stolen from other sites, but claim "Coaster Force is a non-profit, educational rollercoaster site... We therefore do not push ourselves to only use our own photographs, as we strive to find the highest-quality photos available. ....If we see a photo that we like, we may use it, without contacting the copyright owner. Potential webmasters beware; this is a frowned upon practice, which we employ only due to the nature of this site." Um... that's pathetic.

They've taken stuff from me and credited it completely incorrectly. It took about 20 Emails before the illustrius webmaster took them down.

I really like the idea of the site, but I hate how it has become successful by leeching off of other sites.

Same with me...and some of my stuff is STILL up there! Get your own photos, and stop using mine!!!!

Doesn't matter. Still can't use a photo without the photographer's permission in ANY public way.

I might need to go take a look around...

Well you won't have to look very far. Coasterfarce uses a lot of your pictures. People who take images without permission make me so mad!

Phew...he isn't using any of my photos.

I'm sure they're glad you circumvented the asterisks. :)

What do I Listen-To?
May the Schwarz be with you.

Gonchar, Joel and I (very kindly) all but begged and pleaeded with him to stop using and adding our photos without permission......and they're still there. Good luck with yours! :(

Actually, I just checked out the site and he did ask permission for my pics.

Didn't remember the name, but as soon as I saw the site, I remembered. And he's even serving them from his server - that's a plus. I don't know how many times I'll browse my server logs and find people linking directly to files from my server. That's the absolute worst - not only are you stealing my image, but you're stealing my bandwidth too!

The funny thing is all I want is a request. I haven't turned down any but the most ridiculous requests, yet I still find people without the common sense to just drop a quick line and ask. Sigh.

That sucks, I never knew the site in question had such a lax attitude towards borrowing pics. :(
