Status of Intamin Standup at Darien Lake

^^Isn't it Giovanola that makes the track for B&M and the intamin stand-ups?? And if we are making new track pieces for the ride, why not add a corckscrew or something to the ride also??

Also, since Dan said that they have left the trains out in the open with no protection over them to sit out in the open probably means that the people at DL know that the coaster is either not useable or they are planning on getting some new trains for the ride.

Honestly from what I have heard, the coaster is very rough and probably not really worth riding. If it is salvageable, then put it in some park so that at least somebody can ride it.

The stand-up was designed by Walt and Claude when they were working for Giovanola. Intamin was in charge of the transaction. (Giovanola is now out of the coaster business and B&M contracts all of their steel manufacturing from a plant near Cincinnati).

IF B&M would be willing I don't think it would be a bad idea to have them refurbish the ride and provide new trains. B:TE's trains are narrower and has a more difficult restraint system than the stand up trains made by B&M.

Another idea would be to instead of buy new stand-up trains put floorless trains on the coaster for its new home. The same could be done for Flashback if it is relocated to another park.

Prowler. Opens May,2 2009.

A floorless coaster with one loop and not much else?? That would be a pretty booring coaster in my book!!
