State of the Vu's

Okay fine, Train 3, row 4, stair side, outside seat snapped while going down the drop. It didnt entirely snap off, but the man was dragged through out the whole entire ride. Unfortunatley, the man never got to walk again...sustained multiple burns and wounds from the break run, and recieved a pretty hefty settlement from Six Flags. To that, the supports that carry the seats that are attatched to the pickle fork of the rotary on the train, were replaced with a whole lot of other things that had to help with the changing of the lift system...its all complicated ill need to draw a diagram. Its in the manual at the MCP, ill tear a page and post it here.
Wow I never heard anything about that. Odd that it was kept so quiet. Sounds bad enough that it could have kept the ride closed though. Anyways... HAPPY NEW YEARS!
There's absolutely no way that could've happened. If a seat actually snapped off a ride and caused such severe injuries, we would've heard about it when it happened, not 6 months later.

2012 SFGAm Visits: 26 2012 Season Whizzer Rides: 84 X Flight Rides: 91

Have you ever heard of the term of," if you shut up ill give you millions of dollars"??? thats exactly what happened...you guys havent heard of the knee caps and legs getting broken on Deja Vu either eh?? And like i said in the post, the seat didn't snap off entirely, the metal support from the pickle fork snapped and the seat was dangling. If the guy fell off, ahh yea, you woulda heard about it. This was like any other accident that happens on any other ride that you dont know and will probably never know about. Scream opened April of 03, havent heard any injuries have you?? hmm...lots of em! Oh, you think the only injury on Goliath was from that lady that died cause of the anurism?? hmmm...ever had a seat fly off the train and slice your forehead open?? happens a lot on Goliath, YOU...JUST...DONT...KNOW...ABOUT...IT!!! so just because these things dont show up in your local paper or news, doesnt mean they DONT HAPPEN!
Have you spent too much time around the guy who saw V2 get launched too fast and fly off the track?
I tend to actually believe todarn. It does seem logical that Six Flags could just shove some money at someone to make them shut up. Other parks do it a lot im sure. Smart business move from their point of view.
You would think someone that "claims" to know about all sorts of bogus happenings could at least spell right and not make his posts one giant run-on of incoherent statements. It helps your credibility, really.

Lies, and we all know it.

"On the moon nerds get their pants pulled down and spanked with moonrocks."

I found some pics that show the changes made to the ride.

On Media Day the pickle fork was smaller and purple.

Now the pickle forks are silver and much wider.

LMAO!

First off, Six Flags would have not only had to pay off the guy who was hurt money to keep quiet, but all the other riders and guest waiting in line who also witnessed it. Not to mention security, ambulance workers, maintanance people, ride ops and so forth. Do you really think we are that stupid?

Not to mention 1 millions dollars is nothing compared to the money the guy would have gotten had he sued, and isn't even enough to pay for permenant lost of leg use. Give us all a break here. There is no doubt that X had trains issues, tell us something we don't know. All else has been imbelished beyond belief.

i give up...
ToDarn, it's not that I don't believe anything you're saying... but you're saying it in that conspiracy-theorist, overly-excited, "OMG I'VE FOUD TEH TRUFZ0RZ!!!1!11!" sort of way... it really knocks the credibility, you know? I mean, I have a hard time believing that this information would be nowhere but in your head, or someone else's... significant amounts of this would have been leaked/uncovered at some point or another. It's pretty much a physical impossibility for everything you're saying to be true as stated.

oh, X wont be running 2 trains for a while. were having high winds and the structure is moving like crazy aaaaand the other day the first train ran a 59:17 circuit. It basically almost vallied. regularly the train runs in between a 42:15 - 43:90 circuit. anything over 46:00 is extremley bad...so you can just imagine our faces when we saw that train go 10 mph on places wheres its suppossed to go like 35..it was weird...
Georgia's Deja'Vu rocked the whole season.
It was open basically every day, on time at 10:00 in the mornin along with the park. The mechanics did sumthin to it to make it work for a while. But like 2 weeks before the end of the season sumthin broke. But the rest of the season it was going good for Deja'Vu.

While it didn't usually open at 10 with the park (11 more often), OG's vu ran very well this season. During March, April, and most of May the train was missing from the track while it was getting overhauled. When it returned the ride ran smoother and more reliably than ever. I'm hoping that trend will continue in 2004.
