Stark Raven Mad - Lets talk people!

Jill and I went to the State park not far down the road, it was a pretty cool way to spend some "relaxing" time before SRM.  Forget the name, less than ten miles away.  SFKK is a little over an hour away if memory serves...

While most sane people would *leap* at a chance to see Chuck, Sean and Greg in speedoes,

And what about us women?

Sorry Loriu, you're already "betrothed" ;)

I do have another question reguarding Stark Raven Mad. What is it like riding The Legend & Raven at night going through the woods I have never been on them at night before just during the day are we going to be able to ride after the park closes at 6pm is that what ERT is?

SRM involves midnight (and later!) runs with the coasters in Absolutely Insane (tm) mode.  They're great coasters in the day, but totally different (and even better) animals those nights!

The Beast - wanna know what its like to ride Raven and Legend in the dark?  Close your eyes and imagine a wooden coaster with intense air and laterals that seems so fast and so out-of-control you're SURE that train is comin' right off the tracks.

Now double that speed ;-)

100 days to SRM and counting!!

It's NOT boring whatsoever, but I can guarantee that when ERT gets over, you'll sleep like you've never slept before.;)  Last year's SRM was one of the best times I've ever had at a park, and I positively cannot wait for this year's!  Not only do you meet tons of new people, but you get to see other friends you haven't seen in quite some time.  Also, you get the two best woodies on the planet, which both offer absolutely unreal experiences at night.  So, in other words...it's fun.:)

...Legend says: "Don't look back"...

rollergator(bill) says: "Don't look through the lens, jeremy"...LMAO.  A swimsuit edition of coaster enthusiasts, I can't imagine SI is shaking in their collective boots...

Okay, Seriously - What is absolutly insane (tm) mode?
Jeremy,

Speedos huh? Hate to dissapoint those waiting to see me in one of those things, but it ain't going to happen anytime soon. That would even freak me out. LOL! I am not the largest fan of a waterpark either Jeremy, but I think that slide looks awesome.

Oh, if I decide to do the ERT that morning, I won't be too difficult to find. Just look around for the ghost.

Heck, looking at my feet alone will require two sets of sunglasses! Trust me. Ask Matthew.

-Sean (who doesn't tan at all, but rather burns, even with lotion on (Damn Ireland).

LMAO at Sean...perhaps a better waterpark for you to be at would be Knott's Soak City?(since you said to look for a ghost, and Ghostrider is there...*sigh*)  And to Patrick, "Absolutely Insane" mode isn't actually a setting on the ride or anything...it's just the way the coasters run at night.  It's absolutely insane...hence the name.

Thanks Raven Rider, I was wondering 'caus I heard of them letting the train run through the station durring these events.  I wondered if that was the absoloutly insane (tm) mode.  Thats cool though, i'm looking forward to it.  Should I wait to ride them untill it gets dark for my first rides?  I don't think I will be able to, but it might be cool.

My wife and I were lucky enough to ride the Legend 3 times in a row last year....at night! 3 times WITHOUT moving from our seats. 3 of the best rides of my life!

How did we ride 3 times without moving you ask? Well, about 1 hour before the park closed there was a thunder storm that moved in and they closed the rides. About ten minutes before closing they opened both the Raven and Legend! It was great! Holiday World knows how to please. Everyone had left, except maybe 150 people! Night rides on the Legend are God-like. We still talk about it.

Did I mention, that I like coasters...

LOL 2Hostyl! Hey.....what better apparel for the waterpark than Cbuzz speedos! OK maybe not. Not the best logo for that sort of thing!

No ZOOMbabwe for me, but I am there for both days! I have waited a year for my fav. ride in the world! 3 long months yet, but 3 is better than 4!

Don't.....look.....back! The Headless Horseman awaits you in 2002!
Model coasters and rides

Don't wait until dark, start the moment you get there Patrick!  Don't worry, even if you do ride in daytime first, it's a totally different ride at night, take my word for it.
Kristina and I are looking forward to attending our first SRM event. We will also be at Coastermania at CP the next week... Should be a blast...

I'll echo Raven_Rider's sentiments:

A day ride on Raven and Legend are a MUST, if only so you can experience the difference between night and day.

Thanks for that advice Mamoosh, I'll take a note on that anyway see you all there at the end of May! I can only imagine what Raven & Legend will be at night!
