CoasterWorks is not providing the Enchanted Village coaster, though they tried hard to get that business. I have had correspondance with their employees acknowledging that they are not involved with this project.
We also know that GCI is currently building for Silver Dollar City (have they ever built more than one coaster at a time?) Can't rule them out, but they are sort of occupied.
Really really doubt that Six Flags will plop one of the new giant Intamin woodies there, that's the kind of thing that goes to the flagship parks, and SF isn't too keen on Vekoma anymore.
So who does that leave for the highly expected EV woodie? S&S seems very plausible.

Certainly not,I'm leaning towards it being a park in the Cedar fair chain or possibly one of the smaller parks, certainly not SF or SFAW in particular.
I agree. I think Cedar Fair will be more interested in an S&S woodie ( or any other of their new products for that matter). Cedar Fair already knows that S&S delivers a quality product. After all, every major park in the chain has an S&S tower.

Nasai, the IAA cofirmed that the pin name did stand for Washington(it's location) but further information could not be released. Basically it's a teaster photo and layout for a new woodie in Washington(state or the capitol). But the link to Enchanted Village was that the layout and image the Coaster Works gave are extremely similar to the plans that Enchanted Village and the Washington Post released.

I believe Coasterworks and S&S were finalists in the bidding process.. Six Flags, Inc. usually accepts 4-5 bids and weeds them down to 2. Then, the 2 build layouts of what SF, Inc. wants then they battle it out for the contract. Now, what Coasterworks has on their site is what they submitted. Now, one of these two DID win the contract and by which thread we are talking in, I think you can figure out who
Nice Logic Fierce Pancake... But, GCI can do more than one project in one year. They can do as many as 2-3 new coasters and 2-3 retracking projects at once. They have been recently doing more re-tracking projects than new ones, but since CCI's demise they have been submitting more bids. And after this CC woodie debuts, there will be MANY more where that came from.

That's true, one of the Roar's and Gwazi were built in the same year by GCI. Odds are still favoring S&S for this Washington state woodie.
The guy from Coasterworks was real nice, but basically said Six Flags wouldn't return his calls regarding this bid. Shame, because they did a surprisingly great job with the Dania Beach Hurricane (which he boasted was built to meet Six Flags specs, whatever that means) and I'd like to see more from this company in the states.

Why does everyone think Cedar Fair and S&S are so tight? After all - one of the pieces of "quality" that S&S delievered to Cedar Fair's flagship park fell down during the offseason. I'm not so sure things are peachy between the two parties... :)

Well...there is a lot of interesting news popping up in this thread. I still haven't seen any ground movement down there at EV, but I haven't been as recently as Robocoaster has.
Perhaps Chris Godsey would gladly fill me in via e-mail?;)

Rob-who can't wait to ride wood in the woods...;)
I can't wait to get my Wild Thing credit next year!
And I'll get that Windstorm, too.

You will get that credit only if you stay with me, and eat lots of Japanese foodstuffs. Windstorm rocks... short and sweet.
Mmmmm, Japanese food.
I've walked right by that Windstorm, and haven't ridden it. Whoops. I wasn't in the enthusiast mindset yet.
I'm definitely taking a Pacific NW trip next year, plenty of good little credits to rack up, including EV's new wood (I'm betting that's the S&S, but I want to ride it no matter who's responsible.)
