Spyware alert when opening Coasterbuzz?

You obviously don't know what you're talking about "BATWING FAN SFA" so I'd stop.

Gonchar is right... cookies are not spyware. The ad server gives you a designation and then does a lot of useful things like limit the number of pops you'll see (ironically enough), and in a lot of cases serve you ads that are more relevant. In other words, if you never click on tampon ads, they'll stop serving you tampon ads. Believe it or not, advertisers don't want to pay for ads that you're not interested in. So by deleting or blocking cookies from the ad companies (cookies are just a few bytes of text that your browser stores, and are harmless), you're inviting endless pops and tampon ads.

There you have it.

I have one P2P pgm on here and I've never had any problems. None with CBuzz. In fact, I rarely get popups from much of anything on what I surf anymore. I avoid sites with loads of popups and ads.
Ahh, but Gonch, did the former residents choose cake or death?

--Dave, who seems to be the only one who got that one

They got death because we only had three bits of cake and weren't expecting such a turnout.

I got it, I'm just not that big a fan ;).
I think you need to work harder at it then. You know, running, jumping, climbing trees, putting on makeup while you're up there...THAT'S what it is! ;)

If anyone needs to block most spyware from infecting their Windows version PC, use a program called SpywareBlaster. It's free and blocks all known spyware at the time to infect your PC.

Spyware can get into any Windows machine due to the fact that XP has so many security 'holes', as well as Internet Explorer 6.0, that the folks making the spyware are constantly finding new ways in.

First, download SpywareBlaster from http://www.javacoolsoftware.com

also download browser hijacking safety software from the same site called SpyWareGuard

*keep these programs updated weekly!

Plus consider downloading Mozilla Firefox or Opera Browser for heightened security

http://www.firefox.com and http://www.opera.com

If you are tired of pop-ups, and still wish to use Internet Explorer as your browser, consider downloading the 'skinned' browser that uses IE as it's engine, Slimbrowser http://www.flashpeak.com/sbrowser/

Yeah, SlimBrowser is all I use, its great. It has a few little things that avant and firefox and others just don't have.
My apologies to Jeff. My Ad-Aware software is detecting cookies. It only detects cookies when my browser is open because Earthlink kills them when I close IE.

Now you don't have to be curious anymore, Gonch. :)

I lost sleep over it. ;)

Never had spyware from Coasterbuzz...first of all spyware acts like a keylogger..that uses teh internet to collect e-mail addresses to send all kinds of spam to your e-mail...it bogs up your comp processing and internet connection, littl buggers. In any even I use firefox and use ad-aware...and have no adware from CB...just other random sites. OH well what a waste of posting. ;)
