Spell check?

Many people get angry when people misspell (sp?) words. Is there a way that we can have a spell check so we can make sure that we spelled everything correctly and people wouldn't get mad at the people who didn't spell words right?

It would also be really cool if everyone tried to meet halfway between making an effort to spell within reason, and people not complaining about something which is otherwise relatively clear and easy to read....I know my posts contain a typo or two, and I apologize in advance...if that's unsatisfactory, you'll have to take it up with management, LOL...;)

A lotta peeps use slang & other jargon that's just too cumbersome with a spell-checker.

It'd be too much effort, and not worth it... especially on a site that's about rollercoasters where the core audience is between 16-25. It's just some people have this weird fettish to criticize others about the horror that is the English language.. and that seems to sometimes stand out much more than the topic at hand.

A long time ago (ok, maybe it just seems like a long time ago), Jeff had a button that allowed you to spell-check your post. The company that provided the checker stopped the service that the boards used, and Jeff had to take it off of the post box.

I would highly recommend using www.iespell.com if you use Internet Explorer. It allows you to simply right-click in the post box and have that text spell-checked. Easy, and works like a charm.

In my opinion it takes me more time to think and type "u" than it does to type "you." The only "jargon" I use is stuff like SF for Six Flags and CF for Cedar Fair. That's not exactly slang per se, but more or less "board lingo."
