Ok, dude, sersiously, you don't want to argue about the Constitution with me. Just don't do it to yourself. The Constition outlines the powers and duties of the Federal Government, not U.S. citizens, and that's all there is to it. If you can show me where the Constitution outlines how American citizens should somehow respect other citizens, fine, but its not in there. Its just not.
And yeah, I take offense to comments being directed at teenagers. Any adult that has lived in the world should realize that there are just as many rude and obnoxious people over the age of 20 then there is under. If you think the only people making asses out of themselves at amusement parks are teenagers then you are just fooling yourself.

Ready to spring into a new coaster season! :)
You want to know the source of that information? It's is straight from the United Staes Citizenship Handbook, something that the government would want us to quote from. I said you will study it when you learn about the Constitution, which is true. The Citizenship Handbook is in the same lesson as the Constitution. I never said, however, that it was directly in the Constitution.
"All of are laws and right and resrtictions are not limited to the Constituion." That is in the Constitution.
Ravenguy, are you having a rough day today?
When people try to cut infront of me I will say something like: "You can wait in line like everyone else, the ride is not going to go any where" Also when I do I try to do it in the politest way I can.

Sorry, but you didn't mention the United States Citizenship Handbook, you were talking about the Constitution, and now you're just backtracking. And what is all of this about that being in the same "lesson" as the Constitution? Like, in High School, or something? Because believe it or not, all public school courses aren't the same. Call me crazy, but I have a feeling my "lessons" in high school could possibly be different from what yours were. Unless you went to Paris High School and attended all of the classes I did. I know I just took a Politcal Science class here at the University of Kentucky, and while we spent a month just on the Constitution, we didn't discuss the US Citizenship Handbook once. You didn't attend that class either, did you?
And you are right, of course all rights and laws and restrictions are not limited to the Consitution, but there is still nothing in the Constitution that says that as Americans we have to respect eachother or any other such nonsense.

Does the Constitution say anything about having a "right" to ride rollercoasters? Ok, so I'm kidding. I know it doesn't give us that right but the Constitution does give us the right to "pursue happiness". So we can do anything that we want as long as it doesn't make anyone else unhappy. Right?
What about those petitioners that say wooden roller coasters hurt the environment? Doesn't CCI get their wood from their own property or like they grow them?

ravenguy, mark probably means us Hamiltuckyians. We're often confused with the "hill-jacks" of the Deep Kentucky Hills. -rant begin- Never write off the lower class. Yes, their moonshine-making, chain-smoking, foul-mouthed devotions to Lynard Skynrd is very frightening, often disturbing. But many of them are genuinely nice and honest people(in a redneck sort of way.) And all this coming from a Hamilton (Hamiltucky) High graduamated schooler. -rant fin-

Lotus Notes suck!!!
I'm from Hamilton (Hamiltucky) TOO! I gradiamiated to from HHS. HMM.... Hamiltucky Gradiates goin' to coleeges. What year did you gradiate? Me? '99.
We got someone kick out of The Beast line a few weekends ago. They just barged their way up to the front from the very rear. Calling out different names, with no responses. So we told Nick (a pretty cool op) and he made 'em leave. It's just sickening to see people cut, but no one else would say anything. So we did. But some people in line were definetly angry about it. And a few people said that it was cool we did it.

Our responsibilities as citizens are:
{SNIPPED AGAIN}
-Respect rights of others-Respect Diversity and Tradition"
Riiiiiigggghhhhttt.
Lets us not forget that that self same document was:
a) Written by slave owners
b) Defined black people as three-fifths of a human
c) Has no provision for voting representation in Congress for residents of the District of Columbia
I could go on, but you can read for yourself what is there (and more importantly, what *isnt* there) ( www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/constitution.table.htm ).
And if you're a foul mouthed jerk-off, acting like you have no home training, you are being an asshole plain and simple!

....jeremy, I always enjoy your take on this stuff....and while you're right on target with points 1 and 2, the whole DC thing blows my mind. I mean, the *Nation's Capital*, being completely under-represented/misrepresented is staggering, the "taxation without representation" concept completely ignored.
But then again, we ARE talking about a place that re-elected Marion Barry - AFTER the videotape of him smoking crack became public....(remember, I lived in MD)... Basically, anyone and everyone has the capacity to be an obnoxious a**, but thankfully most are able and willing to control that impulse for the good of society...

I think that the constitution is similar to the Bible. The foundation was pretty solid, but if you read things out of historical context, they can sound pretty screwed up. The whole "separation of church and state" issue is a prime example.
However, seeing as how this is a coaster site, not a medium for political demagoguery, let's just all get back to talking about things that really matter...like CP vs. SFMM!
