Speaking of famous coaster spiels...

Stljason1- Looks like you have tapped into something of interest.

I don't know the Steel Phantom spiel, but have a fond memory of my own for sharin'.

Just before the linear induction blast that sent you speeding out of the station on Carowind's gone but not forgotten 'White Lightnin', the announcer would say, "Lightnin Strikes................NOW!".

I'll always remember the anticipation of that blast. Simple, but effective.

That was their 2nd big coaster in the park after 'Thunder Road' and their ads that year were something like:
"Thunder is scary, but Lightnin is frightnin'"

Yeah, I'm old....and even remember coasters this site doesn't! (there's not a listing. . . yet) :)

"We're going to flip you upside down, not once, not twice, not even three times.......well, not at all actually". "Enjoy your ride on Draggin' Iron!!!!" Ride-Op on Iron Dragon May 12, 2003. ( I forget his name Darnit, Matt maybe?)

He was awesome

"Howdy folks! Please keep your hands and arms inside the train and remain seated at all times. Hang onto them hats and glasses, cause this here's the wildest ride in the wilderness!"
*Edit* not really a spiel , but still fun

A ride op on the Round up at Holiday World, while waiting for more passengers....

(said so that everyone could hear)

Man, I hate that new Liberty Launch ride , everytime it goes off, it sounds like a big ole' dinosaur. (ride Launches) Rawararawwr! (ride gets more air) Rarwrararrr!

He was awesome , and he even made a dinosaur jaw when it launched.

Yeah..... The Pheonix , Raven, Cornball, And Cyclops are all cool , But Superman the Escape still has the biggest single moment of airtime!

"Get ready to experience... CHANG! Kentucky Kingdom's newest symbol of fear..."

I remember this spiel from '98, just after the park was given the Six Flags branding. Yeah, it was loud, and I forget most of the spiel. I think most of it had to do with some of the ride's stats; it opened as the stand-up that had the most inversions, and also the longest, fastest, tallest stand-up, as well as some riding procedures. But I definitely remember the loud sharp recording that ended with..
"And now, get ready to experience... CHANG!"

"...Sit back, and hold on tight, because MAMBA is about to stike. Enjoy your ride." I could go without the enjoy your ride, but that last line is the best.

Congo Falls - 90 (one day)

I hate the spiel on Hershey's Wild Mouse "Welcome to the Wild Mouse, blah, blah, blah," it's about a ten second spiel and they play it every 10 seconds. I don't know if it's the girls voice or how loud it is but it really gets to me. But then again standing in a line for a half hour i'm sure it gets to everyone.

Signature will be closed today. Sorry for the inconveinance.

"Welcome to the Pepsi Max Big One, the tallest, fastest, and steepest Roller Coaster -- in the world! You are about to experience Vertical Reality."

It's still in use, too.

pki needs some new spiels.......... They are so boring.
I know it's not really a spiel, but I loved the way Jeffery Siebert says Delirium. Deleeeeerriuum!!! or when he teased about the post here on CB about 2004's new coaster being called Caesar, (It came out more like Seeeeezuuur!). And by the way, on Beast, is that Siebert's voice doing the cautions on the lift hills?
